Himiko stuck her tongue out at Dabi. "Don't wanna!"
He rolled his eyes. "And I don't want your ass next to our dinner."
She crossed her arms defiantly. "No."
"Oh my fucking God..." He sighed, exasperated. The two had been arguing since Dabi had begun cooking for the night -- the Villains took turns making food, and Tuesday dinners were his duty. However, he usually ended up taking Himiko's shifts as well because he was the best cook in the League and Himiko had almost burned water once. She was a great cook. Jin had ended up tuning it out after a few minutes, focusing on his game of cards with the boss, Big Sis Mag, and Compress.
"I'll raise you fifty, boss. I fold," the doubling Villain said decisively, shoving in the chipped poker tokens they had stolen from an old casino.
"Call," Compress said. Not fair, he got to wear a mask. What happened to a good old fashioned poker face? Mag frowned from where she sat, shaking her head.
"Fold." She knocked her beer over with her elbow and she hissed between her teeth. "Shit."
"Stop staining my bar," Kurogiri said flatly, taking out a towel to clean up the fifth spill of the night. "Next time we need to replace the damn thing, it's coming out of your pocket."
Before she could come up with a witty response, Dabi interjected from the kitchen.
"Twice, be a doll and get this crazy schoolgirl out of my kitchen!" he called as he swatted Himiko away from the pot. She whined, jabbing his scarred arm lightly with a dull knife.
"Deal with it yourself, you burnt piece of toast! I'm busy. Yeah, I'm coming!" He got up, throwing down a royal flush, which made Compress and Shigaraki yell in frustration. Jin pulled at the edge of his mask as he walked to the kitchen, peeping his head around the doorway to examine the damage of the scene.
Himiko was sitting right next to the stove, still poking and prodding the black-haired man's scars with a gleeful expression. He looked exhausted as he stirred the pot of curry in front of him, knowing better than to take a knife away from her. That was how someone ended up dead. Sensing Jin's attention, his sharp cerulean eyes fell on the older man. "Help," he mouthed.
Jin chuckled. "Toga, mind taking my spot in the game? I need a break."
Her ears perked up at the mention of entertainment. "Whatcha guys playing?" she asked excitedly.
"Poker. Compress is winning, but if you take my hand, you'll be only a bit behind. Boss man's losing by a huge margin. It's hilarious." He walked closer and patted her head. "Or maybe Mag can do your hair."
She grinned. "Yay! Sounds fun!" She scurried out of the kitchen to join the rest of the League in the common area of the bar.
Dabi sighed in relief. "Thank fucking God." He threw one of his signature smirks at Jin. "How could I ever repay you, my handsome Prince Charming?"
Although it was hidden by the mask, the blond could feel his face heating up to a crimson red at that. It was accepted by now that Dabi's pastime tended to be to tease and flirt with the other League members. When asked about it, he said it was because he enjoyed watching the way people reacted. Although it had thrown everyone off at first, they had gotten used to it by now -- well, all of them except Jin. He never got flustered. Even with the time that had passed, he found himself blushing like a schoolgirl.
