Chapter 11

Mabel:

we planned to leave tonight. The plan was far-fetched and would only get us to the woods. After then it was luck. Reverse dipper came in that night with water and tiny pieces of bread. we sprung the plan into action. Cody flew up behind him And whacked him in the head. He fell unconscious. Me and cody high fived and we chained reverse dipper up. We slipped out through the door and found the control room. We turned off most of the cameras and messed with it. Then we went to the attic and left that way, me riding on Cody's shoulders. We couldn't fly through the woods, we'd get lost for sure. Safer and quicker to walk, i mean, run. it wasn't Long before we heard yelling. I heard reverse dipper, gideon, and a girls voice if that was reverse dipper does that mean thats reverse me? I shook my head woah mabel, think when you get home. The thought gave me energy as we raced onwards. We heard figures running behind us, chasing us. Cody grabbed my hand and pulled me onwards. I looked up at him to see his ice blue eyes narrowed and determinedly starring ahead. He was muttering to himself. It was dark, really dark. Just like in my dream... We raced onwards, our pursuers gaining on us. My cheeks burn with scratches but i keep going. "Almost there" said cody. I look look up to see the same starlit clearing as the one in my dream. "They wont follow us if we get past there" i don't watch were I'm going. I trip over a root, my hand pulled free of his. Dipper, gideon and reverse me pull me back but i manage to grab on to the same root that tripped me. "Cody!" I scream his name. He reaches out with his hand i teach out with my unbroken arm. Big mistake. My hand misses his and I'm pulled into darkness, i hear cody scream my name "MABEL!!"
