Peter was in the kitchen with Esme and Emmett, trying to cook up a meal for the few people that had to eat. He would look over at his mate from time to time, as Alice along with Rosalie spoke with Shauna. Even though he knew that Rosalie didn't like Shauna to much, with her being a shifter and smelling like a human, he could tell though that Rosalie was slowly warming up to her. Which he was both happy and grateful for, he smiled softly as he went back to cooking.
"She is most definitely beautiful. Even for a werewolf." He looked over at Emmett, with a really look and a small blush, before shaking his head chuckling softly. "What? It's true. And besides adding another beautiful woman to the household wouldn't hurt anybody. Besides mine just so happens to be your sister." Peter rolled his eyes at Emmett, as the food was soon finished.
"Uh huh. Your lucky your married to my sister and treat her right. Other wise I'd kick your butt." Peter told Emmett, with a smirk even though the two of them actually play fought a lot and would fake fight. Outside of course, especially in the rain some days. "Oh yeah? I'd like to see you try." Emmett taunted him, until Esme stepped in between them both chuckling softly. "Alright boys save this til after dinner please. Peter you and the girls need to eat. Emmett why don't we go sit down, and give them some space." Esme said softly, bringing Emmett over to the living room with the others.
While Peter, Shauna and Bella all are at the table. With Shauna and Peter having a small conversation, with Bella whom was intrigued about Peter since he was a hybrid. "Edward told me a bit about you being a hybrid, but I wanted to know what it was like. Being able to be something like that? How'd it happen?" Bella asked Peter, causing Peter to tense up slightly til his mate gently touched his arm. Causing him to look at her, as he gently moved his arm away from her.
Making him feel bad when she frowned, and sat there looking hurt. Peter cleared his throat, not liking to talk about this subject very much, but he had to talk about it sometime. "It's not always pleasant being a hybrid. But it is nice and does have its perks, especially being here with my mate. I was in a accident. I got hit by a car and was left to die on the ground...til Carlisle found me and turned me. Not knowing that I had already been bitten and healed by a werewolf." Peter soon got a glimpse from that night, remembering what happened to his sister and her cries. He shook his head shaking off those thoughts, not wanting to show that it bugged him.
"I didn't think that it was possible for that to happen. But hey, if it makes you feel any better..I think it's cool that your something unique and different. I'm sorry if I upset you." Bella said, causing Peter to gently shake his head and rubbing a hand over his face. "I'm not upset Bella and you didn't upset me. I just don't like talking about that night, um..I do have something to tell everyone." Peter said as he stood, giving his mate his hand to take.
Smiling sadly at her, as he took her hand in his, pulling her close to him. "Keep your eyes closed sweetheart." Peter whispered to her, before whooshing past the chairs and table. Causing the chairs to fall over, as he sped with his mate into the living room. "You can open them now sweetheart." He whispered to her, yet again before looking up at his family, not letting go of his mate.
As both of them turned to look at his family. "Alice since you already know, would you care to say anything?" He asked his sister, waiting for a response from her since she already knew along with Edward whom had read her mind. "Of course. Welcome to the family. Im gonna have another sister." Alice said, as she pulled Shauna into a hug.
