"love is friendship set to music"

In the weeks that follow, a gradual evolution takes place between the two of them. It's mostly marked by shared laughter, late-night texts, and a growing sense of camaraderie.

Of course, Yoongi reminds himself that this is only because she's the most interesting student he's ever had. The prettiest too, but he still likes to be in denial over that.

Since their exchange in numbers, their phone conversations have become a daily ritual. It's sort of dangerously bridging the gap between their lessons, but for once, Yoongi doesn't mind.

What started as simple exchanges about music and practice soon blossomed into something more. The texts have become longer, the topics more diverse, and the underlying current more flirtatious.

He finds himself eagerly awaiting the ping of his phone everyday, his heart skipping a beat whenever her name appears on the screen. Sometimes, he can't even pay attention to current conversations, due to the anticipation of her next text. Namjoon has given him a look about it several times now.

Her messages are filled with playful banter, teasing comments that make Yoongi chuckle. He's surprised by how naturally their conversations flow, as if they've known each other for much longer than a few months. To think how they started, this is certainly a turn of events that he didn't see coming.

The shyness, the nerves that once marked their interactions in person seems to melt away in their digital exchanges. He becomes bolder, teasing her about her love for caramel lattes and sharing his own quirky anecdotes. It's a dance of words, a delightful back-and-forth that he grows to love.

Everytime he messages her, he pictures a smile on her face, her brown eyes crinkling in the corners as she does. His heart does this weird flip every time he does.

And then there are the lessons - the moments he looks forward to the most. The excitement of sitting next to her, their shoulders brushing against each other. It's a sensation he's still grappling with, the realization that she's become a constant presence in his thoughts.

The secret touches of their fingers against each other become more frequent, a hidden language of connection that only they seem to understand. Her smiles, her laughter, the glint in her big eyes - all of it creates a tapestry of emotions he can't quite put into words. Not to mention the rush he feels when he leans over her frame to help correct a mistake she might've made.

When they have lessons together, the sunlight always filters in through the window, casting a warm glow over her features. Today, her hair is once again tied in a messy bun. It reveals the delicate curve of her neck. He's aware of the electricity in the air, the unspoken tension that hangs between them.

Their fingers brush against each other as they both reach for the same sheet of music, and he can't help but feel a thrill at the contact. It's as if their connection is tangible, a thread that binds them together.

He plays a few chords, guiding her through a new piece. Her fingers move with confidence over the keys, and he can't help but admire her progress. He's impressed by how far she's come, how she's transformed from a novice into a skilled player. Semi skilled, anyway, but better nonetheless.

Their laughter fills the room as she stumbles over a tricky passage, and he's reminded of how much fun they have together. The ease with which they share their thoughts, their music, and their moments makes him realize just how special this connection is.

As the lesson comes to an end, he watches her close the piano lid with a satisfied smile. Her gaze meets his, and for a moment, time seems to stand still. He can feel the warmth of her presence, the unspoken understanding that exists between them.

"Thanks for another great lesson," she says, her voice soft and genuine.

He clears his throat, a small smile playing at his lips. "You're welcome. You're making incredible progress."

Her cheeks tint with a blush, and he can't help but find it endearing. The way she responds to his compliments, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of happiness and shyness, only drives him even more crazy.

As they gather their things and prepare to leave, he feels a surge of reluctance. He's become accustomed to these moments, to the way their interactions leave him feeling elated and content.

Before she heads out the door, she turns to him, her expression playful. "Guess I'll see you next lesson?"

He raises an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Or we could meet up outside of this room." He means for it to be a playful tease, but the way she looks like she's considering it makes his heart beat wildly in his chest.

"I'd like that," she says, smile bright. "It's about time you take me on a date anyway."
