"You know how much I hate bacon."
She complained to me as I was finishing up cooking us breakfast. "Malia for gods sake, it's meat. You love meat." She glared, "No Stiles I don't love meat, that's the only eating choice I had to survive. Besides berries." I rolled my eyes and plopped the pancakes and eggs on her plate. "Thank you." She mumbled. I nodded and dished up my plate.

"So what are you planning on doing this summer?" I asked her, followed by her shrug. "Hunt mainly, of course hang out with you, and study for senior year." I nodded and looked to my half eaten pancake.

"Have you talked to Derek lately?" She shook her head. "He left to go look for my mom, haven't seen him since." I sighed and dug into my eggs, while taking sips of orange juice. "What about Liam?" She shrugged, "I see him whenever I see Scott." I nodded, again, and put my dishes in the sink.

"Have you seen her yet?" She asked the morbid question that she's been dying to ask, and I shook my head. "I haven't." It pained me to say those words. I know I should go and see her before she leaves, but I've just been too busy. With Malia and school and everything else, I haven't had enough time to even go to the bathroom at some points.

"I think you should Stiles." I shook my head. "I can't. I mean, I'm busy today." She nodded, and sighed loudly. "Just get it over with." I bit my lip and nodded hesitantly. "I think I can actually go and see her right now, I mean if you didn't want to do something." I muttered and she shrugged. "Go, I'll stay here." I tousled my hair in between my fingers and nodded. "Yeah I'll be back in an hour." I grabbed my keys and kissed Malia goodbye.

You see, after the dead pool ended, Lydia's mom went into debt. The boat house was ruined due to me:

A.) ruining a wall
B.) tracking mud in on an expensive white carpet.
C.) throwing a large party and
D.) letting Malia ruin the downstairs when she transformed

I feel awful that I am the fact that Lydia has to move away to a smaller town for her senior year before college, but I mean, I can't help it. I'm broke too.

After everything ended, and we returned to beacon hills, I talked with her. I made sure that she was okay, then she went into full detail how she "Totally defeated a monster with just a baseball bat." I laughed at the spunky little girl, and hugged her because God knows if Parrish wasn't there to protect her, she'd be dead.

I hopped the steps up to her front door, which was lined with boxes. I knocked, and a short girl with a messy red-haired bun appeared. She was in sweatpants and a tank top. She folded her lips in and looked to the ground. "Stiles." She whispered, and I sighed. "Hi Lydia." She folded her lips in, and hesitated. "Come in." She moved over a little to let me walk inside.

"How are you?" I asked as soon as she shut the door, and started leading me back into her room. "I'm uhm... I'm kinda sucking actually." She laughed out, not in a sentence but rippled laughs. When we reached her room, I grabbed her wrist and spun her body into mine.

Her head hit my chest due to the fact that she wasn't wearing heels. She sighed loudly before wrapping her fragile arms around my torso. "I'm so sorry Lydia." She nodded, "It's okay Stiles, it's for the best. If it weren't for you, so many people would be dead by now. Including myself."

For some weird reason, I melted under those words. "Don't say that." I managed to croak out through the lump in my throat. She squeezed me a little tighter. "It's true though." I brought her as close to me as possible.

"Lydia you know what I would do if you died." She giggled and hummed. "I never forgot those words that you said to me. No one treated me like that." I snorted, "You were my best friend Lydia." She shook her head, and wiggled from my grip. "No, before that night where I showed up at your house, I didn't like you. I didn't know why I showed up at your house that night, I think I realized that you were the only person that was going to be there for me. But we weren't friends..." She sat down and sighed, "I was just confused."
