I had left the training grounds and was on my way into the pack house for a shower before heading down for lunch to see Calin and Felix. When I was done with my shower I threw on jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt with black Converse hi-tops. I made my way to the dining hall where the whole pack was gathering for lunch. I walked to where Calin and Felix sat among four other wolves, two of which were hybrids. They all stood up as I approached them, my mates smiling warmly at me. I noticed that their mate marks matched the ones they had given me, theirs shimmering in silver rather than my blue and purple.

I smiled warmly at them, Felix's arm wrapping around my waist as I held Calin's hand. "Astra we would like to introduce you to our Beta's, Aria and Elias Winwood, and our Delta's, Logan and Ivy Solace," Felix said. "Luna." The four of them said in unison bowing their heads. "It is a pleasure to meet you," I said sincerely as we all took our seats. Aria and Logan sat on Calin's right while Elias and Ivy sat on Felix's left leaving me to sit in between my mates.

We waited until the last few stragglers sat down before Calin and Felix stood up. All eyes turned to them. "We have an announcement. We have found and claimed our mate, your soon-to-be Luna!" Felix announced happily. "The Luna ceremony will be tomorrow with the full moon at which time Astra Flint will become your Luna!" Calin said smiling at me which caused me to blush. The wolves cheered at their Alpha's announcement. A few moments later lunch was brought out, everyone now feasting on the mouthwatering spread of cold meat sandwiches, fruit, strips of all kinds of meat, and light salads.

The rest of the day was spent preparing for the Luna ceremony tomorrow, most of the pack was buzzing around while some carried on with their primary duties like patrol and training. Felix had left straight after lunch to contact their allied pack Alphas to extend them and their unmated wolves to the ceremony which they all accepted. Calin went off to talk to the pack's appointed mage who blessed and oversaw every ceremony held on pack grounds. A mage is chosen by the moon goddess, they have a direct link to the goddess and the spirits through divine magic. What the mage proclaims is law and can not be broken or challenged. The mage knows what has been and what is yet to happen and guides the Alpha through difficult decisions regarding the pack.

I walked around the pack aimlessly and eventually stumbled on a small clearing with a lake nestled in the woods that was still on the pack grounds. I sat beside a collection of rocks that hugged the edge of the crystal blue water. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, my hands resting on my knees with my palms facing the sky. I felt my whole body relax as I took in the smell of the forest, the cold fresh water, and the gentle rustling of wind through the leaves. I focused on trying to channel it, control it, and bend the energy to my will.

My head was suddenly flooded with voices whispering, chanting incantations, and filling my mind with knowledge. Everything I should have known years ago was suddenly being unlocked. I heard my mother's voice as visions flashed through my mind, disconnected images of my mother making a deal with a man I had never seen, of my father holding her when I had been born, I witnessed old packs rise and fall, a darkness consuming everything they once stood for. Suddenly the images stopped just before a man made himself appear in front of my eyes. I recognized him, my mother made a deal with him, but who was he, what was he and how does he know me and where I am?

The man laughed to himself. "So many questions, such a curious mind. You have grown child but have so much to learn to face what's coming." He said, his voice was deep and smooth like warm honey. "My name is Azazel. I had long ago made a deal with your mother and you were born of that deal my dear, I am your father of sorts." He said smiling softly. "I am a prince and I am here to guide you. I have so much to show you, and you my dear, have so much to learn. But all in good time." And with that, he was gone. My eyes flew open, a red haze surrounded me and I seemed to be levitating. I gasped and fell to the ground. I got up, dusted myself off, and made my way back to the pack house.
