Aphamu, Aaron, Blaze, and Y/n sit together in the beach enjoying their lunch while the others continue to goof off in the ocean. Sandwiches have never tasted so good to Y/n.
"There's a nice restaurant I want us to all try on the main island once we get there," Aaron explains. He shows pictures from the website on his phone, "I've heard they have some of the best sea food."
"Sounds awesome," Blaze says in between sips of water.
"Do you know when we'll go to the main resort?" Aphmau asks eagerly.
"Probably soon if I'm honest," Aaron smiles making Aph even more excitable.
"There you all are!" A feminine voice calls out. Melissa comes through the gate towards the others, "I've been looking all over for you."
"Hey. What's going on?" Aaron asks as his sister takes a seat in the shade.
"Nothing. I was just wanting to hang out I guess," She shrugs, "We haven't gotten the chance to just yet."
Y/n spectates the ongoing conversation after finishing their lunch. They eventually find their attention moving to the others out in the water. A couple walking along the beach catches their attention however— a very familiar looking couple.
"Katelyn? Travis?" Aphmau calls out.
The two of them instantly look over at the group. Katelyn's face of confusion suddenly turns into excitement when she sees her close friend.
"Aphmau? What are you doing here?" She speed walks over. Travis isn't far behind. Katelyn's face suddenly pales when her eyes find Aaron, "Is that-"
"I should be asking you the same!" Aphmau gets up and hugs Katelyn who loosely hugs her back, "And you're with Travis?!"
"Hey Aph," He greets with a half smile. His gaze flickers between her and Aaron.
Aaron can feel the tension thickening. His ears fall back out of shyness. Katelyn gestures to him, "Aaron's a werewolf?"
Aphmau's smile falls, "Um yeah. His whole family is."
"Oh cool," Travis adds in an attempt to defuse the situation.
Y/n can tell Katelyn's trying to stay as polite as possible, "Uh yeah. Well um it's nice to see you again Aaron."
"Yeah you too," Aaron avoids looking directly at her, "Travis also."
Travis gives him an awkward wave. Melissa clears her throat, "Hey Aaron, I was actually wanting to um talk to you about something."
She gently leads her brother away a little further down the beach. Blaze looks between Aphmau's conversation and Aaron utterly confused. Y/n's emotions aren't too different.
