After searching in the streets for an hour or two, the three of them were about to give up. They couldn't find Elizabeth's brothers anywhere.
"Kaitlyn." Dylan whined.
"Quit complaining, Dylan. If we can't find them in the next ten minutes, we'll go home." She said.
"What?" Elizabeth turned around, looking at the two.
Kaitlyn crouched down to her level, sighing. "Elizabeth, we haven't been able to find them anywhere, and we've been searching for, like, two hours."
"Oh, okay." She turned back around and stared at the dirty ground.
Kaitlyn looked to Dylan, a pleading expression playing on her face.
"Uh, Elizabeth," He crouched down this time. "I'm sure we'll find them, don't worry." He smiled.
"Hm."
Dylan stood back up and two adults shared a sad look.
"I just hope they're ok-"
The child was cut off by a whisper, coming from the alley to their left. Dylan looked at the two of them, making a gesture telling them to stay quiet and he leaned up against the brick listening in on the conversation.
"I don't know about this, Ace. They look like they're only children." Come from a feminine voice.
"Chillax, Blossom. We just have to bruise them badly enough and get out, the way we always do." Came from a deeper voice.
"But, Ace. Laura and Max are still trying to find a way to get out of jail. If we get caught, then we're all in jail."
"We won't get caught," Snarled the deeper voice. "And if we do, we find a way out. Now come on, let's fuck these guys up."
It was silent for a few moments before the more feminine voice spoke up. "Fine."
Dylan looked back to Kaitlyn, her face showing that she had clearly heard that interaction, too. Dylan nodded towards the entrance and Kaitlyn was about to say something when all three of them heard a loud crunching noise.
Dylan nodded and the three of them turned the corner to look at the sight in front of them. They all saw two adults looming over two now crying children. One was a bit taller, maybe about thirteen. The other looked like he was just about five years old.
"Those are my brothers!" Shouted Elizabeth, causing the two adults to turn back. One had a nonbinary pin on their shirt and the other had a transgender one.
The one with the nonbinary pin chuckled. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?"
"Ace, we really should just leave." The girl said, looking desperately at them.
"Blossom, shut up." Ace slapped her arm, causing her to rub it in pain.
"Ah, Kaitlyn! What a surprise!" Ace said.
"Ace, quit the shit." Dylan replied.
"Ouch, Dylan," They put a hand over their heart. "That really hurts me."
"Elizabeth!" The older kid shouted from behind the two villains.
"Elijah! Evan!" She shouted, running over.
Before she could reach her siblings, Ace put their finger behind the collar of her shirt, ultimately choking her. Ace pulled her back in front of her, pulling out a pocket knife from her pocket. Ace put the blade to Elizabeth's throat.
"Dylan. Would you rather have Kaitlyn, or Elizabeth?" Ace smirked.
"What the fuck are you talking about?! Put the blade down, she's just a kid!" Dylan shouted.
"No, answer my question. Elizabeth, or Kaitlyn?"
"Ace, goddammit!"
"Answer my question!"
"No!"
"So neither? Is that what I'm hearing?" Ace smiled.
"No, both! I would want to have both!" Dylan said.
"Hmm, too bad!" Ace laughed, starting to move the pocket knife across Elizabeth's throat.
When Kaitlyn and Dylan both saw a bit of blood trickle down, and a few tears escape her eyes, they knew they had to do something. Kaitlyn instantly snuck up behind Ace, taking the knife out of their hand and holding it to Ace's instead.
Blossom was running for Dylan when he stepped out of the way, causing her to fall on the ground with a prominent 'oof.' Dylan put his foot to her back, pinning her down. Elizabeth by now had escaped where she was previously held to her older brother, falling into his arms.

Emma Mountebank was out for a normal day, hopefully not having to do any hero stuff. She was walking down the sidewalk when she heard a couple of words being spoken, then some weird noises.
She looked down one of the alleys to Dylan's foot on some girl's back, and another girl with a knife to somebody's neck.
"What the fuck is going on here?"
"Oh, Emma! Hello!" Dylan said, taking his foot off of her back.
"Dylan, care to explain?" Emma crossed her arms.
"Well, uh, you see. This person over here, Ace, put a knife to this young girl's neck. And this girl, Blossom, was, uh, with them." Dylan said. Kaitlyn took the knife away from Ace's throat.
Emma looked to the child in the older boys' arms. "Is this true?"
All Elizabeth could do was gulp and nod.
"Well, you guys shouldn't have threatened them, but you did a sort of good thing. I'll take these two to headquarters. Dylan, other girl who I don't know, make sure they don't move." Emma walked back out of the alleyway, calling two other of the heroes, Abi and Ryan.
Thankfully, they came there quickly and Emma and Abi took away the two villains. Ryan looked at the five others.
"Dylan." Ryan said, pinching the nose of his bridge.
"How the hell do you know Dylan?" Kaitlyn asked.
"I should be asking you the same thing."
"Ladies, ladies. Don't fight over me." Dylan joked, walking in between them.
"Kaitlyn, this is Ryan. Ryan, this is Kaitlyn. You are both my best buds, 'kay?" Dylan said, wrapping his arms around both of them.
"You guys should come back with us to headquarters. To get everything sorted out and her patched up." Ryan said, pointing to Elizabeth, a tired expression on her face.
"Alright, let's go!"
