THE HOLDER OF GREAT KNOWLEDGE inside their enclosed world was the river. Ever so pure and clear the river serves as their information giver on anything they'd like to know about the outside world. Of which only the water fairy can ask and they'd all see through the projection on the waters.
That time Aster asked what caused the wilting and how it could be stopped or perhaps reverse its effect. But the waters don't have the answers that they seek. It showed them only a gist of it: the comet that passed by the night. The ripples mumbled to Aster,
Find the elf living among the Orphis–humans that don't wield magic–in the northern valley, in the village of Kornor.
He who studies the stars and sky, whose knowledge of ancient magic is vast may have the answers that you desperately need.
One has to go out there and to Kornor village where the said elf resides.
"I'll go," said Leigh the Enchantress.
"My connection to nature might come in handy in my journey."
So, the very next minute Aster told Leigh every bit of information she has to know. From how different the outside world is, to the path she would take and who exactly to find. That is in front of the river where a map was projected onto its clear waters.
"Remember, the quickest path would be straight north. You'll get to pass an abandoned village, the woods, and a road leading to the village." Aster pointed to the map formed on the surface of the river. She also crafted a compass out of a white pebble in the river. "The arrow will always point to the direction of the village. This will help you not to get lost, don't ever lose this."
"The Elf has disguised himself as among the villagers. But you could find him through his leaking magical aura. Magical auras can be tracked to the senses. Feel the air and the scent it brings. His is most distinguishable through its wonderful fragrance."
For the last piece, Aster handed a gray pebble to cut open through the portal. And she wished her good luck and may the odds be in her favor.
And there Leigh stood on two foot as she drew a circle in the air. Her hand firmly grasping the magic pebble. A glowing pink ring of light formed mid-air and Leigh took a step into it.
