3 Days Later Magic Parai Jones 10:45 Am Omni Pov.
Magic coughed as she walked past Kevin, inhaling his excessive amount of cologne. She fixed her long wig that looked weird from her high ponytail. She took her braids down yesterday but didn't know what she was going to do with her hair. This will do for now.
She fixed the cardboard tree prop before standing next to Jake, who was now on the other side of Kevin. Jake pulled her closer by her wrist, before letting go and letting her stand closely next to him.
"What's that smell?", Papa asked as he approached the trio. The boys had suspenders on, and Papa's looked more like a leprechaun. While Magic wore a blue ballgown dress. That was itchy as hell.
"Uh, I don't know", Kevin said suspiciously making Magic smack her lips. She leaned forward, past Jake, and looked over Papa's shoulder at him.
"Now you know damn well that cologne coming from you. It smells good bestie but it's a bit too much", Magic commented.
"Smell like my grandad up in here", Papa said, making Magic chuckle as Kevin smelled himself. Magic grabbed Jake's chin and turned it towards her.
Jake looked down at her and licked his lips. Magic gently grabbed his locs and tucked it inside of his rainbow afro clown wig. Jake stared at Magic's face, silently admiring how pretty she always looks, even with a raggedy synthetic wig and a polyester dress.
"Ready, and, five, six, seven, eight", The theater teacher counted to start the play. A piano began to play as Magic stood in front of the boys wanting a better view to see them perform from the side stage. Andrea and a few girls stepped up towards the front of the stage.
"Here she go, about to mess up", Papa predicted making Magic laugh, she leaned back on Jake, who fixed his posture so she could be comfortable.
"On god, she finna embarrass herself. Ole goofy ass", Magic said while laughing some more at her own comment. Kevin shook his head at the two before mugging them. He looked Papa up and down then asked,
"How you know?"
"Just wait.", Papa replied
"Waitinggg", Jake dragged out, making Magic nudge him to be quiet. She wanted all her senses to be focused in this very moment, except the inapplicable ones, of course.
"Here it comes", Papa pointed. Magic smiled, and her face showed an expression full of anticipation.
Andrea got into the pose for her musical and smiled wide, her mouth open as if she was about to say something but nothing came out. The crowd laughed at her but Magic's face fell in disappointment.
