"How the hell does a grown fucking woman just disappear off the face of the earth?!"
It was two days after Irene had been taken. Jungkook was furious, yelling at anyone and everyone.
"We're trying our best...", Jaehyun started. "If that were the case, we would have fucking found her by now wouldn't we?", Jungkook snapped at him, slamming his hands on the desk in front of him.
I placed my hand over Jungkook's and he looked away. "Hey, look at me. We're gonna find her, you hear me?", I said. I looked up at Jaehyun and he nodded, leaving us alone. Jungkook sighed and sat down. "What if they did something to her...", he said softly, frowning like he was calculating all the possibilities of her being dead.
"Irene is the strongest person I know, if anything I feel sorry for the people who took her. She's probably swearing their unborn grandchildren right about now.", I said with a laugh.
Jungkook chuckled and looked up at me. "How do you do that?", he asked, wrapping his hand around my waist and pulling me onto his lap. "How do I do what?", I asked, tilting my head to the side.
"When I look at you. all my anger just disappears.", he said, cupping my face with his hand. "Ohh, that. You see, my secret is that I-"
His lips suddenly smashed onto mine. I moved my legs so that there was one on either side of him and tangled my hands in his soft hair, my lips still on his.
We kissed for what felt like ages, until I pulled away, my forehead resting against his. "You didn't let me finish my sentence.", I said with a playful pout.
He chuckled and took my bottom lip between his teeth, slowly pulling away. He placed a small kiss on my neck and I sighed in contentment. He suddenly jerked his head back, taking the pendant of my necklace in his hand. "Where did you get this from?", he asked, his eyes wide.
"It was Mino's.. he was always wearing it. I kept it after he died.", I said sadly, touching the pendant. "That symbol..." Jungkook quickly lifted me off him and hurried out of the room. I frowned, following him.
He ran into one of the rooms that I'd never been into and came out with a book. I then followed him to the surveillance room and saw him talking to Jhope. "Play the footage of the night that Irene was taken.", he ordered. Jhope nodded and did as he was told. Jungkook watched the screen carefully squinting his eyes.
The hell is he doing? We can't see the guy's face in the video.
"There! Pause it! Okay now zoom in here.", he said, pointing towards the man's arm. Jhope did so and I gasped.
Irene's kidnapper had a tattoo of the exact same symbol on Mino's necklace.
Jungkook then paged through the book in his hand before stopping at a particular page. His eyes widened and I walked towards him to get a better look. Engraved, on one of the pages, was the same symbol.
"Jungkook...who's book is this?", I asked quietly. He took a deep breath before answering.
