After the bathroom incident zenitsu couldn't stop thinking about how gorgeous and majestic tanjiro looked that fateful day he sat in his room which was shared with tanjiro due to them being in the butterfly mansion. He was staring at his newfound obsession unable of knowing what to say
Tanjiro decided to speak up first
"Zenitsu-san why have you been so pensive since that one time?" Tanjiro also was very flushed from that moment but he decided to keep quiet about it
Zenitsu finally snapped back to the real world
"Oh h-hi cu-tanjiro i was simply just uhh having a bad day today making me overthink stuff" the truth was he was to busy overthinking what he and tanjiro could've felt in that one moment. Was it love? Sadness? Or maybe just plain confusion.
Tanjiro knew that he had to take action first so he said
"Zenitsu-san i have to come clean about this and i think... I kind of grew more fond of you since that time?"
Zenitsu was delighted to see such a start in their relationship so he said
"Me to tanjiro, say how about we go to eat some noodles at that one stand? We could later hang out if you want"
Zenitsu, the normally shy one has finally gotten a courage to ask tanjiro out and ofcourse tanjiro accepted as he was also extremely delighted by this news
