After having to move because the rumors going around that he harassed her although he hardly touched her, he never regained his vision. He only had 17 years worth of memories of beauty. He never fell in love. The cruelness of the world had crushed him. He never saw beauty again. Not even in his wife that he was supposed to love but never did because he couldn't trust anyone in this wicked world. He had told her this story multiple times. She understood but stayed committed to him because sometimes an optimist can outweigh a pessimist. That's what she tried to do. She didn't want to overpower him, she just wanted him to be happy again. They worked on this daily.
As he lay on his death bed with his wife he never fell in love with, his entire life flashed before him. He remembered the colors. He remembered what love felt like. He looked his wife directly in the eye and full heartily signed "I love you". As he said that he saw her eyes change to a new pattern. Her hair turned to a beautiful color. It lay perfectly on her shoulders.
As he passed on he knew that wherever he would go next, he would make sure that no one would have to feel his pain and that everyone would see beauty. His soul descended into the stars and he was positive that he would change mankind.
***************************Sorry for the disappointment of an ending. I didn't really know what to do with the last part and wanted to finish it to move on to the next story of the series.
