"I mean he's not far off Tom." I blurt out trying to lighten the mood, "See I told you!" says mattheo. I admire his bright smile as he nudges his brother, yet tom still keeps that serious look on his face. "Anyways, your obviously new here, what year are you?" asks mattheo, "Uh Year 5, I've heard Harry Potter is in that year, thats just my luck" i say not thinking about weather they are friends with him, "Saint Potter, always there to save the day"Spits Tom in a hateful tone. "Im in Year 5 too, Tom is in Year 6 though, he's head boy." Mattheo says with a tone of jealously.

"Well I assume you're in Slytherin Tom but what house are you in Mattheo?" I ask because Mattheo is not wearing his robes yet, well i am but they are blank since i haven't been sorted yet. "Im in Slytherin to, I'd say you'd fit right in in slytherin y/n." I smile at his compliment nervous for what is to come but yet I get a rush of excitement thinking about Hogwarts.

"How long until we arrive?" I ask them both, "About 4 hours I'd say, it goes fast enough though, all of the breathtaking views" says Tom looking out of the large window.

As we walked forward i looked up admiring the huge door to the school, it was raining lighting, i felt the mist against my face as i watched the soft glow from the castle windows. I stepped into the door and heard chatter coming from the next room. Everyone was already seated inside, except for me and Professor McGonagall. She told me I must wait for Dumbledore to call my name and them i shall enter the Hall.

"Sounds easy enough" i reply "very well then, i shall see you momentarily for your sorting Miss Snape." I see her enter the hall and hear Dumbledore begin giving a speech, i couldn't make out much but after what felt like and hour i could just make out him saying "Please welcome Y/n Snape!"

I open the doors and walk through the middle of the hall, i felt quite nervous as people were whispering and staring at me, but i held myself and walked confidently, i caught what one ginger boy on the Gryffindor table said "Blimey Harry i didnt know Snape had a daughter", Harry, as in Harry Potter, he's even uglier than in the daily prophet. I also see another two ginger twins wink at me, i blush and smile slightly at them.

I continue walking and look over at the Slytherin table and see a familiar face, mattheo. He smiles at me and i give him a nervous smile back. I make it to the top of the Hall and I shake hands with Dumbledore and smile at my dad, he looked rather stern so i looked away quickly.

I sit down on the stool and Professor McGonagall place the sorting hat on my head, the tension in the room was at a record level as i waited for the hat to speak in anticipation. "Ah a Snape, haven't seen one of you since your father, cunning, ambitious, a leader, better be..... SLYTHERIN!" I let out a sigh of relief as claps and cheers burst from the Slytherin table.

McGonagall takes the hat off of my head and i slowly make my way down to the Slytherin table and try to sit next to Mattheo but there is no room so i end up sitting beside what looked like his friend, a blonde boy with an entitled look on his face. He looks familiar.
