Y/n POV: Monday
︵‿︵‿٠◦٠♡٠◦٠‿︵‿︵I woke up groggy and irritable, already not wanting to get up. Unfortunately, I had a long list of things to do today so I pulled myself out of bed.
I looked between the exit door of my room and the door to the bathroom, debating on whether or not I should get ready now or later before I had to leave the house.
I decided on the latter, not feeling like it right now, and left the room to get started on the list of responsibilities I had written yesterday.
Xiao was already awake downstairs, being his usual morning-person self, working on something on his computer but looked up when I had started descending the stairs.
"Morning." He spoke dryly but I was busy looking for my to-do list to care much for his tone. "What're you looking for?" He asked.
"A paper." I answered quickly, not looking up as I looked behind the couch.
Xiao rolled his eyes and stood up to help me. "Whats on the paper?"
"A list of things I had to do today." I responded and started sifting through a drawer, closing it after I didn't find it.
"The one hanging on the fridge?" I looked up immediately and went to go check, low and behold the paper was there.
"Thanks Xiao." I smiled gratefully at him and sat on the couch to look over it. Xiao hummed and went back to what he was doing. I skimmed over the list, immediately frowning as I read all of its contents.

I stood up and walked over to the kitchen to find something to eat for now. "Have you eaten yet?" I asked him as I searched the fridge. It was relatively empty since I needed to go to the grocery store today but we still had milk and cereal and that was enough for now.
"Not yet." He answered boredly.
"Cereal?" He mumbled a 'sure' and I started preparing an extra bowl for him.
I brought the bowls over and sat next to him on the couch, handing him one. Xiao set his computer aside and accepted the bowl from me as we ate together.
"So, what do you have to do today anyway?" Xiao asked, glancing at the paper next to me.
"Uh...college-scholarship applications for the upcoming year just opened up so I think I'm ready to give it another shot." I was a little nervous to say it out loud, knowing that once I said it, there was no way I could back out of it again.
