Backstory: this is a one shot from the first movie where Mackie is sick the morning of there six flags trip but no one believes her until she doesn't start acting like herself.
Mia goes downstairs to find Mandy and Camila.
Mia *excited*: Mom I need 20 dollars for my school field trip today.
Camila pulls a 20 dollar bill from her wallet.
Camila: I think your sister might need one too.
Mackie comes down.
Mackie: Mom I don't feel good.
Camila: Nice try Mackie your going to school.
Mandy: Yeah even I know this is the "too sick to go to school" routine.
The twins go to school.
Mackie is up against her locker when Alex came around the corner.
Alex: Hey are you excited for the trip?? Me and the boys are planning to ride all of the rides.
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: I was but not anymore.
Alex: Why not??
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: Because I'm not feeling well and my mom didn't believe me.
Alex *feels bad*: I'm sorry Mack. I hope you feel better.
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: Thanks Alex.
After school on the bus to Six Flags:
Mia and Mackie sat together like always.
Mackie puts her hand on Mia's shoulder before she sits down by the window.
Mia: What is it??
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: Maybe I should sit by the window??
Mia: Why?? Are you okay??
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: I told you this earlier I don't feel good.
Mia felt bad. Usually Mackie would never take the window, she would always take the middle.
Mia *feels bad*: You really don't feel good, do you??
Mackie shakes her head.
Mia let's Mackie have the window.
20 minutes into there field trip Mia was reading a book she got at the library that day when Mackie tapped her on the shoulder.
Mia: Yeah??
Mackie *sad and not feeling good*: I feel like I have to throw up.
Mia: Okay.
Mia turns to Frankie who is the dance teacher.
Mia: Mackie feels like she has to throw up.
Frankie goes to the bus driver and comes back to the girls
Frankie: The bus driver said that she is going to pull over to let you guys off as soon as we get through traffic.
5 minutes later:
Mackie *miserable*: Mia I feel it coming up.
Mia *worried*: It's okay. Just lay on my shoulder and try to fall asleep. I will wake you up when we stop so you can get some fresh air.
Mackie leans on Mia's shoulder and falls asleep.
5 minutes later the bus stops to let them off.
Mia shakes Mackie gently.
Mackie and Mia get off the bus.
Mia: do you feel better now that we are off the bus??
Mackie *miserable*: A little.
Mackie felt it coming up and she projectile vomited in the grass. Mia rubbed her back as she threw up one more time.
Mia *felt bad*: It's okay get it all out.
They got back on the bus and Frankie gave Mackie a bag and Mackie threw up twice on the way to the hotel.
When they got to the hotel they went and pairs and it turns out that Mia and Mackie were together.
The girls go to there hotel room.
Mia *feels bad*: Why don't you go take a shower and I will make your bed so when you get out you can get in.
Mackie gets in the shower and Mia sets up her bed.
20 minutes later Mackie gets out of the shower.
Mia *feels bad*: Do you feel any better??
Mackie *miserable*: No. I still feel nauseous and my head hurts.
Mia helps Mackie to her bed.
Mia *feels bad*: I put the trash can next to your bed Incase you have to throw up.
They go to bed and at 1 am Mackie starts throwing up non stop.
It is now 4 am and Mackie wants to go home so Mia goes next door to Frankie's room and knocks on the door.
Frankie answers rubbing her eyes.
Frankie *tired*: Yeah Mia.
Mia *feels bad*: Mackie wants to go home. She has been throwing up since 1 am.
They go to Mackie and Mia's room.
Frankie *tired*: Hey Mia said you wanna go home.
Mackie nods
Frankie starts packing up Mackie's stuff.
Frankie : Mia can you call your mom to see if she can come get Mackie??
Mia tries calling her mom but she doesn't answer.
Mia *feels bad*: She isn't answering.
Frankie: What about Mandy??
Mia tries calling Mandy.
Mandy was at home getting ready for work and was doing the last steps of her makeup routine when she realized that Mia was calling.
Phone call:
Mandy: Hey Mia I'm getting ready for work, What's up??
Mia *feels bad and worried*: It's Mackie, she's throwing up.
Mandy: Mia stop playing with me I have work.
Mia *feels bad and worried*: I'm not playing with you she has been throwing up. We have been up since 1 am.
Mandy: Let me talk to her.
Mia hands the phone to Mackie.
Mia *feels bad and worried*: It's Mandy she wants to talk to you.
Mackie takes the phone.
Mackie *miserable*: Mandy.
Mandy: Hey Mia told me you wanna come home.
Mackie *miserable*: Yeah I feel awful.
Mandy looks at her phone clock.
Mandy *feels bad*: Can you hand the phone back to Mia??
She hands the phone to Mia
Mandy *feels bad*: I feel bad for not believing her.
Mia *feels bad*: Yeah I started feeling bad after she asked me about sitting by the window on the bus.
Mandy *feels bad*: If I leave right now, I can be there at 6 am.
Mia *feels bad*: Okay hurry.
Mandy gets to the hotel the girls are staying at.
Mandy knocks on the door.
Frankie answers the door.
Frankie: You must be Mandy.
Mandy *feels bad*: Yeah.
Mandy walks into the hotel room
Mandy *feels bad*: I tried calling my mom but she must be on a shift.
