Chapter One- The Ignition
"You know.. It's just so exciting." Scarlett was sitting on a red velvet couch, she had a notepad on her lap and a pencil in her hand. She was wearing her blonde hair down and curly. She had on grey shorts and a white tank top that was loose fitting to her slender body. "Planning is the stressful part, but I think I can manage this. Heck, I do manage a whole company by myself." She said to Rebekah who was there with her. "You won't be doing this alone. I would be happy to help you." Rebekah offered and Scarlett smiled softly. "I would appreciate that. Thank you, Bekah." Scarlett was planning her fairytale wedding to the man of her dreams, Klaus Mikaelson. It had been a long time coming but they were finally back together and better than ever. They both had been through hell and back but that didn't stop them. Scarlett looked to her ring and smiled, everything was falling into place perfectly.
While Scarlett was writing down the plans for the wedding, Klaus walked in with Elijah. He smelled like bourbon and blood, a little bit of smoke too. He had been at the local bar with Elijah, Marcel and a few other vampires of his. He saw Scarlett and smiled and walked up to her and put his hands on her shoulders, gently rubbing. "Ah, my beautiful rose. What do we have here? Plans for our wedding?" He asked and leaned down to her. Scarlett looked up and smiled softly at Klaus. "Yes, I'm planning our wedding while you plan your killing's with Marcel and Elijah." Klaus nodded and chuckled. "You know I can't resist. I have to keep you safe, love. Can't have anyone ruining us, can I?" He asked and she shrugged, "I suppose, just be careful. Okay?" She asked. Klaus nodded, he kept his promise to her. He wouldn't let himself get hurt, how could he? Scarlett returned to writing and kept her eyes on the paper as she spoke. "Please brush your teeth and shower. I would rather not smell alcohol and smoke." She smirked slightly to herself, she loved to mess with Klaus. He raised an eyebrow and huffed. She was the one person he would actually listen to. "Fine.. Only because I love you." Klaus pulled away and walked upstairs to his bedroom where his bathroom was. He knew Scarlett was right, he smelled the alcohol himself and got in the shower. Rebekah looked over to Scarlett and chuckled softly. "You have him wrapped around your finger, you do know that, right?" She asked. Scarlett looked up and smirked softly and playfully. She looked away and smiled.
That night, Scarlett was lying with Klaus in his bed. She had on a white nightgown on and her blonde hair was braided back. Klaus had on black sweatpants and no shirt. His arm was around Scarlett's waist as she was typing on her laptop. "What're you doing, love?" He asked and peered over. Scarlett was looking up wedding destinations, "Trying to find a place for our wedding and honeymoon." Klaus raises an eyebrow, "Why are you doing that? We already know where it'll be at." Scarlett looked to him, confusion on her face. "What do you mean? I wasn't aware of this." Klaus shook his head, "I thought it was clear that the wedding would be here and so would the getaway. I can't leave this town running with Marcel or Elijah. I have to stay. We can do things here just as good." Scarlett closed her laptop and sat up as she set it on the night stand. "You cannot be serious.. That's not funny, Niklaus." Klaus sat up as well and looked to her. "I am serious, Scarlett. I can't leave here. This town needs me." Scarlett frowned and felt furious. "First off, I'm not having my wedding and reception here. We have waited too long and deserve somewhere nice! Somewhere to get away from here! All you care about is your work, you don't even care for me or my happiness. You put this city in front of me? How horrible is that? Maybe you can stay here alone." She stood up and walked to the door, leaving him in here. Klaus grunted and narrowed his eyes, she was right but he didn't like when this happened and his natural reaction was to fight back. Klaus sometimes said things he didn't mean, out of anger and this was one of those times. "Maybe I do! This town is important to me and you should be a good fiancée and actually care! It's my way or else." Scarlett stopped snd looked at him, shocked and upset with him. "Or else what?" She challenges and Klaus growled, "The marriage is off." Scarlett was instantly hurt and widened her eyes and stepped back. "The marriage is off then.. If you really want to be that selfish then fine!" She had tears and opened the door and vampire sped away. Klaus realized what he had said and felt instant remorse and guilt. This wasn't one of his vampires.. He said that to Scarlett.. His beloved Scarlett. He was realizing how he acted and how he seemed like an ass. "Scarlett!" He yelled and stood up and rushed out to find her but she was already gone.
