A soft knock echoed through your room from your door.
As the sound repeated, you found yourself receiving consciousness. Sitting up in your bed and rubbing your eyes, you spoke to the creator of the repeated sound.
"Come in..! I'm awake.." Your voice just loud enough to reach the perpetrator.
With a small creak, the door opened and revealed an adorable freckled man with a huge smile on his face.
The expression alone made your heart warm up, shortly followed by your cheeks.
A soft smile formed on your face.

"Morning! Channie said I could have some fun with you today." He smiled, quietly walking into your door with a cheer.
You silently choked on the air you were breathing until Felix cleared up the confusion within your mind.
"Remember how I was told that I would be able to take you out for ice cream if I did some stuff? Well, I did the stuff!!" His eyes became crescents that held bright sparkling stars within them, his smile the biggest you seen him ever form. His excitement was so adorable. You couldn't help but immediately get out of bed and start getting ready.

After getting dressed in your bathroom into a pretty dress that was laying on your small sofa with a kind note, you dabbed on some light makeup and brushed your hair. With one more quick look in the mirror, you felt the excitement run through your own body. For the first time in a long time, you were going to be in public. Not only that, either, but you'd be with the beautiful and sweet Lee Felix. Your heart was already pounding thinking about it. As you turned away, a small cruel thought passed in your mind, but you shook it off before greeting Felix once again.

"Woah! You look so pretty!!" He spoke with a smile and rosy cheeks. The butterflies in your stomach flew happily, and you covered your embarrassed smile with your hand, not doing much as even your fingers held a blush.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked, tilting his head slightly and asking in a sweet tone.
With a nod, you both made your way out of your room and towards the front entrance of the building. The skin on your body tingled with excitement and slight nervousness as you got closer to your temporary freedom. At the door, Felix and you put on your shoes and opened the door. With a glance, Felix noticed your fidgeting stance and sighed with a small smile.
"It's okay. You'll be fine. I'm here, so don't worry." His eyes fell to your hands, his own taking yours, and he guided you through the door. Suddenly, you were no longer anxious about being in public for the first time in a while. Now, you were nervous about being with Felix. Just his smile made your legs shake.

After a short walk from the isolated building, you spotted a car on the side of the empty street. There was no curb or side walk to signify the width of the road, just grass and trees from the forest beside it.
"That's our ride! I got my license just for this day!" Felix giggled, causing a realization to hit you.
"You're driving..? For the first time...??"
He laughed again at your nervousness.
"Yep! I hope you're prepared!!" He teased, grasping your hand with slightly more strength while jogging to the vehicle. Your eyes widened, but you couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous he was.
"Please don't crash the car!" You jokingly pleaded with a bit of seriousness in your tone. He laughed some more while opening the door for you. His laugh was so sweet that it warmed your whole body in the cold and comforted you in the warm.

Entering the car, you noted the basic design. The car looked like any normal middle-class car. It wasn't that you were Ungrateful. You just expected something way more sleek and expensive from the Mafia. With a chuckle, you buckled in your belt and watched Felix enter the driver seat.

The ride was peaceful and quiet but wasn't awkward at all. Felix kept the music from the radio low so he could be more aware on the road, and his focused face was just so adorable. Similar to his straight face, his lips stayed in a small pout with puffed cheeks, shifting often to a more intimidating look.

"So.. When did you get your license?" You asked after a bit of glaring at his beauty.
"Oh..Err..I did get it a few years back, but I haven't driven since. So before today, I was just hoping it was just like riding a bike, and thankfully, it -"
The car quickly swirved to the side of the empty, wide road. Your body unexpectedly smacked against the side of your door, bruising your arm lightly from the impact.
"SHIT!" Felix yelled, pulling over immediately. He quickly unbuckled his seat belt and leaned over to you.
"Fuck, Fuck, fuck! I'm so sorry! Are you okay?? I..I.." He reached over and pulled you closer to him for an inspection.
"I'm okay, I'm just a bit in shock.." You admitted with a small reassuring smile.
Felix continued inspecting your body, leaning off his seat to look at the bruising on your arm.
"Holy shit! I..I didn't mean to.."
"It's okay, Felix. It's not that bad, I didn't even notice it until now.." You lied lightly, but hugged Felix's trembling body lovingly.
"It was a mistake and no one got too hurt. You're fine." You continued reassuring the blonde, rubbing light circles in his back.
"Are..you sure?? I'm really sorry.."
"I'm fine, but are you okay? Can you still drive?"
"Yeah..I can..Ah, I'm so sorry. I just lost focus and then.."
"It's okay, I'll stay quiet this time."
"No! It's not your fault, I just looked away for a second..."
You sighed, Letting go of Felix and tracing your eyes over him.
"You can do it, so don't be afraid." You smiled sweetly and watched the water gloss his chocolate brown eyes.
"You're too good for me.." He mumbled under his breath before sitting back into his seat and locking himself back in.
After a few more breaths, he began driving again and you stayed more quiet. His face became even more serious then before.

Entering the city, your face held a huge smile. The lights and colors were all something you never thought you would miss so much, but seeing the same colors everyday caused you to crave such a sight. Every scent in the air warmed your body and each person you admired. You felt your eyes glued stuck to the car window, but you also felt brief eyes stuck to you once the car stopped.

Infront of a small ice cream shop in the middle of the city, you heard the engine of the vehicle stop.
"We're here but before we go in, Chris gave me some strict rules..."
You nodded, unintentionally looking behind Felix's head at the buildings of the city.
You saw so many pretty, loud cars in traffic and so many different people walking across the streets. The smell of food made your mouth water and the whole scene made your stomach flip in excitement.
A light touch reached your shoulder.
"Hey..Um, did you hear me?"
Your eyes widened in shock.
"Ah! I'm so sorry Felix! What did you say?"
Felix gave you his sweet and reassuring Lixie smile before restating his previous words.
"You must keep close to me and not talk to anyone. We can only go to Mafia owned buildings so I'm so sorry if we can't go everywhere you want. You also have to avoid eye contact and tell me if something bad happens..And uh..if you don't mind.."
You watched as Felix wandered off with his words, fiddling with his small fingers.
"We can..uh..hold..hands..? You know, to stay close and safe and stuff! You know what I mean? But..Only if you want to!"
You giggled at his shyness and his red cheeks.
"Sure, I don't mind." You smiled, while thinking of the fact that everyone walking by will think this beautiful man was your boyfriend. Such thoughts made you unknowingly start kicking your feet.
"Ah..Okay..Here, let me help you out." Felix exited the car, quickly walking over to your side and helping you get out. He reached his hand out to yours, and once you held on, you couldn't help but notice just how soft his skin was.

Sorry for the super long delay. Crazy stuff happened but it's okay because now I'm here! School is also back, so working with that in the way along with being sick so often makes it hard to write or have motivation. Don't worry though, I plan on finishing this book this year or most of it.
