ESCAPE

Your body hurt so bad from the previous drugs and it was still so shaky, but you just kept running alone with I.N. Chan stayed close behind you two, shooting at those chasing behind you.
Your heart was beating fast, full of adrenaline, and every breath you took was fast and painful. Your lungs began to burn but you ignored all the pain in your body and kept running.
You didn't want to die or end up killing someone else, afterall.

That worry quickly changed to panic as a arm dragged you into a room while you were passing it, shoving you in a room below.
All you could hear was yelling from the hallway, and more gunshots within the room you were previously in.

When you finally reached the bottom, you fell into the arms of a masked man which took you and ran through the tunnel you both were now in.

For once you actually built courage to protect yourself and dug your nails into his eyes. He screamed, dropping you, which allowed you to run down the path yourself.

It wasn't too long until you heard his footsteps following you from behind.
And then a sudden "DUCK!" Was heard as a masculine yell, causing you to pull your body down and hear metal clanking down the tunnel behind you. You then heard a thud and quickly turned around, your eyes meeting with Lee Know's.
"Minho!" You cheered with a smile and his arms wrapped around you.
"Shh.. We need to stay quiet. C'mon, follow me." He spoke in a Whisper, providing you his blazer to cover you up.
"And don't look up, there's spiders." He chuckled while he ran with your hand in his.

You wanted to look up.

After a while, you both hit a dead end. Adrenaline still running through your veins, you took lead and headed towards that one fork in the tunnel that your gut originally told you to go down.

"The fuck are you doing?"
"There's another way!"

You kept on running, ignoring every yell and complaint from the man, until you heard loud footsteps coming towards you. Lee Know quickly used his weight to throw himself infront of you, using his arms to block any harm towards you.
"There's a tunnel underneath the building. I need back up immediately." He spoke into his earpiece, his tone very clear.

The people revealed themselves from the shadows, clearly ready to fight.
"Fucking cowards having to have 9 people just to fight 2. Why do you want her so bad anyway? Are you so horny you just crave innocent women? Disgusting honestly."
Lee Know spat and continuously kept throwing insults at the people while they stood in silence planning their attack.
'Is he stalling?' You thought to yourself as it was so painfully obvious.

Then they charged.

Three woman headed towards Lee Know and he used his knives to cut them, giving him time to shoot one of the women until his gun was knocked out of his hand.

It was the last bullet anyway.

He quickly pulled out his other knife, both his hands now holding blades.
As he attacked, The last two women held onto the blades, ignoring the blood dripping from their palms, to fight back. To add to the misfortune, 2 men stood behind Lee Know to hold him down while 4 surrounded you.

"Come here bitch." One of the men spoke as he reached towards you with a thick knife in one hand, causing you to back into the man behind you. His thick arms wrapped around you tight as you wiggled roughly in his arms in attempt to break free.
"Get off me!" You yelled, not as a warning but rather as an alert to Lee Know.
He couldn't see what was going on behind him, so you tried your best to hint at it without causing the men to cover your screams.

But your words only caused a splatter of red to paint the walls and yourself.
A bitter metallic taste lightly reached your mouth, a sour scent in your nose.

Lee Know was able to retrieve a sharp sword from one of the women, his main goal when temping the people, and used it to slice off the heads of everyone around you and him.

You immediately fell to your knees and exhaled in relief.
"You alright, Princess?" He asked, oddly causing your heart to skip. You nodded and took his hand when offered.

"Want me to carry you? You look tired-" His tone suddenly changed when he noticed the fresh blood dripping down your arm.
"Holy shit! Are you hurt or is that from the mess I made?" He asked, lightly gripping your arm.
"I..Don't know. I didn't notice it." You asked confused, and after inspection he concluded that it was a deep wound, almost reaching the bone.
"How the fuck did you not..Wait..Shit, Just Let me catch my breath.."

After taking time to collect himself and treat your wound with what he had, he began talking again.

"Does it hurt..?" He asked in a soft and gentle whisper, holding onto your newly wrapped arm.
You shook your head.
Maybe it was the adrenaline, but you didn't feel it at all. It was to the point that you were wondering if it was really even there. Perhaps you were dreaming... No. You were hoping this whole thing was a dream. A long dream and maybe you were just in a coma.

A soft kiss on your injury broke you from your daze, a flinch taking over your body.
"M..Minho!" You yelled.
A soft laugh reached your ears.
"I want you to feel better quicker, Kitten." He gave you a playful smile and you felt your face heat up. Even in serious moments, he could totally change his mood. It was odd but your shoulders weren't so tense anymore.

The loud sound of boots running echoed in the tunnels until you noticed Hyunjin and Felix approaching you. Perfect partners, honestly.

"Sorry we took so long! Did you manage to cover everything yourself?" Felix asked while running closer, stopping just a few feet away to catch his breath.
"What took you so long? She almost died. Shit, it was 9 against 2!" Lee Know punched the wall, a total change of attitude once again.
"Sorry, but don't fucking take it out on Yongbok. There's shit going on upstairs too. We don't know why, but they're going crazy looking for her."
Hyunjin's eyes landed on you, that piercing feeling coming over you once again.
His eyes made you feel something you never felt before. Everyone else's eyes made you feel warm and welcome, while his scared you. Like he could read you, or misinterpret anything small you did. As if he could burn your body once he closed his eyes. It caused your body to shake.

"I'm..sorry.." Those airy words left your lips as you felt tears well in your eyes.
"Ah! Please don't apologize! It's not your fault!" Felix panicked, wrapping his arms around you to pull you into a comforting embrace.
"I don't know why..the Mafia..finds me so..interesting.." Your words were spaced out, your voice holding a tremble.
"We'll figure it out.." He whispered against your ear as you heard Hyunjin and Lee Know argued in the background.

He looked into your worried eyes, wiping your salty tears away with his thumb. He whispered a soft question to you, his voice causing goosebumps to hit your skin. Despite it's deep ability, it was beautiful. Such a bittersweet voice. You loved it.

His soft lips reached your, both his hands cupping your face. It was slow and romantic, allowing you to understand all his feelings. Breaking the kiss for air, you noticed a soft tint on his pretty face. The red hue looked beautiful with his scattered freckles.
He gave you one more soft peck before smiling at you.
Looking into his eyes made it feel like the world stopped.

And it hit you.

You loved him.
And you strangely felt the same to a few of the others.

You adored how Unpredictable Jeongin was, yet sweet and flirty.
You loved how kind and caring Han was, as he was always there for you and treated you with the absolute best care.
Felix was similar. He was painfully sweet and you just wanted to learn all about him. It was strange, but you wanted to see the other side of him too. How he yelled when he was mad just made you want to fully understand him.

You were so captivated by these boys that you would have had no clue were in such a dangerous job field. But shit, that only made you more curious about the others.
Your heart skipped for them too, afterall.
It felt like fate that you would fall for them too, and you were fully prepared.

But. How did they feel?

That's what confused you the most.
Love has to be mutual for things to properly work out in the end. And things would be odd and difficult as your interests included multiple people. Well, You never felt normal since you could remember, but that was one of the reasons you were here to begin with.

Was it even because you were too excessively nice?
