Pretty Kitty (Catnipz)

A/N: Here's the continuation:)

It had been about three weeks since she took Haerin into her home (yes she named her Haerin) and in those three weeks strange things have been happening.

Like, for instance, a few articles of her clothing have gone missing. She was thankful that it was her less…colorful pieces of clothes that disappeared. Oh, that reminds her, some of her food has gone missing as well, along with her water bill going up.

Her first thought is that she must be going insane or something from inhaling nail polish fumes all day, but then her thoughts turned to Haerin.

She knows how crazy that sounds. ’really the cat’. Yes the cat. What else would it be?? Maybe, just maybe, Haerin was inviting some of her forest friends into Minji's house and throwing parties or something before she gets home. She knows it sounds weird, but can you blame her? She’s conspiring over here.

Well, at least the nights have gotten a bit better. Haerin has been really opening up to her, and she now allows her to scratch under her chin and on top of her head. More progress!

These are just some of her thoughts as she’s trying to sleep. Usually the soft rise and fall of her furry companion helps her drift off, but not tonight. So, she reached over and started to pet Haerin. It was quite soothing actually, and it was also surprising how soft her fur was even though she still hasn’t given her a bath.

It only took a few minutes for Haerin to start purring. If Minji had any self control she would have just left Haerin where she was laying…key word if.

She picked Haerin up and set her in her upper stomach. It was much easier to pet her this way anyways. After about ten or so minutes of just petting her, she started to drift off to sleep.

Minji was in that state of not fully being awake but being conscious enough to feel and hear. And she definitely felt something heavy and warm on top of her. she was way too tired for this. So she decided to just go back to sleep.

When she fully woke up Haerin was gone, and she still felt the heaviness of her chest lingering. Strange. Oh well. She headed downstairs after getting ready and poured Haerin a bowl of food for the day.

“I’ll be back later, Haerin!” She shouted, but as she turned towards the door she was greeted by none other than Haerin herself. “Oh, hey…when did you get there?” She inquired, stepping forward, reaching for the doorknob, but was stopped by Haerin. “I have to go to work, Haerin.” She got a meow in response, still being blocked from leaving, tail wrapping around her leg. ‘Was she always this clingy?’ I mean sure it was cute, but she really needed to get to work, she didn’t want Yoko on her ass again for being late.

So she carefully nudged Haerin with her leg and squeezed out the front door. She felt a little bad leaving Haerin at home, but she knows she’ll be back later, right?

Work was always fun, she and Chaewon talking about the latest drama or funny pop culture moments. It was always the best when a client had some new drama to spill, and today was one of those days.

“You know about the guy who works at the library?” Chaewon asked, eyes not straying away from her client's now colored nails. “You mean Conan?” “Yeah…him” Minji quickly glanced over at her, but she was still razor focused on her client's nails. “What about him?” She asked. “Oh nothing, he’s just a little…how do I say this, off-putting? Creepy? Weird? Yeah, those seem to fit.” Minji had never really thought about it before, but yeah, he was kinda creepy. His long wet dog hair just doesn’t make him look good if she was being honest with herself. “Yeah, I get what you mean. That’s one reason I don’t really go there.” Chaewon stopped and glanced over at her, flicking down her glasses in the process. “Yeah, along with you not reading, like, at all.” She felt her cheeks go a little red. “Hey, I read!” She said defensively. Chaewon scoffed, “Yeah, magazines, those don’t count.” “Ugh, sure they do.” One of her clients spoke up, “Hey, did you see the newest Vouge one?” They asked, looking up at Minji. “Yeah, half of it, my cat ripped it up before I could finish, was it any good?” That got Chaewon's attention. “Yeah it was pretty good, there was a really hot guy near the end.” Now Minji was kinda bummed. “You still have that cat? It’s been like, a month.” “Hmm? oh yeah, I still have her, we’re like BFFs now.” Chaewon had a fake hurt face on right now. “I thought I was your BFF!” She fake sniffled too for good measures. “ No, no , I didn’t mean it like that- I just meant that, well, you know,” she started to ramble, Chaewon laughed a bit, “Chill Min, I’m just messing with you.” She let out a relieved sigh, ”Jeeezz, Chae, don’t scare me like that…”

Minji came home with some groceries, and after putting them away, was about ready to pass out. She finally had an off day tomorrow and was going to use her time wisely- by sleeping all day.

So after eating dinner and taking a shower, she went into her room and plopped right on her bed.

*Meow* “Hmm? Oh, hey, Haerin. Hoped you didn’t miss me much while I was gone.” She meowed in response.

Minji lifted up her hand and started to scratch Haerin's chin, to which she happily complied, lifting up her head for more access. Minji let out a soft giggle, “You’re such a good kitty, Haerin.” Haerin started to purr. Minji swore her heart melted every time she did that. It really just goes to show how close they’ve gotten…kinda.

Sure, Haerin is still quite cold and distant, but moments like these make all of it worth it.

“Do you mind if I go to bed now? I have to work off tomorrow and I’m super tired.” It seems like Haerin understood because she got up and laid down next to where Minji usually lays. Minji's face was plastered with a drowsy smile as she slipped under the covers.

She turned towards Haerin and smiled as she scooted closer, to where their noses were now touching.

“You’re such a pretty kitty, Haerin.” For a moment her vision was clouded, it was white. Then she, she felt…lips? What?

Lips on lips. That was…weird because no one else was living with her…other than Haerin, her cat. Her cat… what is going on?

When she finally got her vision back she saw…a goddess? Whatever she was, she was breathtaking just like the stars outside in the night sky.

“Hmm?!” Greenish, yellowish eyes met brown ones. ‘Haerin?’ Was all Minji could conclude.

The kiss only lasted for a few seconds, but she swore that time stopped. As she retracted her head a bit, she examined the…person? In front of her. Black hair, has bangs, clear white skin with those oh, so recognizable eyes. This was Haerin, her cat, now a human. Although two things that weren’t really human features, her hair was complemented with a set of ears, and if she looked a little lower there was a tail flickering side to side.

Is this really Haerin? She's so confused right now. Her mind was in dazed and she was just straight looking at the person next to her. This time she speak up, "Haerin?". The girl smiled and Minji swore she could see cute little fangs and her heart melted at the sight. This is definitely her cat which is now a human. "How are you..I mean how did you do this.. thing?" Minji can't seem to formulate the right words. Haerin shushed her. "I'm a werecat, I can transform into a cat and a human" Minji's mouth was hanging open.

"You're so cute Minji-ah, I'm so glad you've invited me in" The werecat snuggled into her and she just hugged her tight. Although she wanted to ask questions, lots of questions she decided it can wait for tomorrow.
