"You really shouldn't head back alone." Ethan said worriedly.

"I won't be alone," Ella laughed. "Mindy and Annika will be with me."

"Well actually we're dropping Annika off at her class," Mindy corrected, "so it'll just be Mindy."

Ethan shot the girl a glare. "Yeah, well, I still don't think it's safe."

"You just don't trust me." Mindy rolled her eyes.

"Let me walk you back, at the very least." Ethan insisted, his brown eyes dark with worry as he gazed down at his .

"Ethan," Ella said affectionately, "you have class."

"I can be late," the boy said stubbornly. "Who cares. Your safety is more important."

"Ethan," Ella leaned up on her tippy toes to press a kiss to the boy's cheek. "We'll be fine; don't worry. I'll see you after class."

Ethan grumbled, but with a bit more nudging on Ella's side, he finally left—but not before peppering her with few hundred more kisses. It was only when he had to be practically dragged away by Chad did he leave.

"That boy is such a simp." Mindy commented with a shake of her head.

"It's honestly really cute." Anika giggled.

Mindy raised an eyebrow, saying nothing.

"You two really are adorable," Anika grinned as the three girls started walking towards the direction of Anika's class. "How did you two meet again?"

Ella blushed. "Um, we met in Econ class. He sat next to me on the first day."

"Aww, how sweet." Mindy teased. "I bet he fell in love with you from the moment he saw you."

Ella laughed, pink-faced. "Oh, whatever."

"You know; I was thinking," Annika started. "we should do a group hangout one night. Not like yesterday, where we all went to bed right after cuz of school and stress and stuff—but like a genuinely fun night of just all of us hanging out and whatnot. We could make pasta and play board games or something."

Ella's gaze brightened. "Ooh, I'm down."

Mindy shrugged. "Sure; I don't know how many games the girls have stocked up in the apartment but I could head to the store to buy some cards for Uno and stuff. Maybe snakes and ladders too or something."

"Just no monopoly." Ella put in.

"No monopoly." Annika agreed. "We'd kill each other before Ghostface could if that was the case." The girls dissolved into laughter at her joke.

"Well," Annika said, once they arrived at the door of her building, "Mindy can pick me up after class and we can walk to the store together. Stay safe together and all that. And we can get the games, and maybe some more snacks and stuff too."

"Mk, I'm cool with that." Mindy pressed a chaste kiss to the side of her girlfriend's face. "I'll see you later; bye babe."

"Bye," Annika giggled, blowing an air kiss back to her girlfriend before she walked inside.

"Do you really have nothing to do today at all?" Ella asked Mindy as they started down their route to Ella's dorm building.

The older girl shrugged. "The college is still looking for a proper teacher to substitute for our film teacher; right now we're not doing anything, so I see no point in going to class."

"Okay," Ella giggled. "You got any plans for the rest of the day then? Or at least with these three hours you have before Annika gets out."

Mindy shrugged, "Who knows. I'll probably just stick to you, if that's fine."
