Life flashing before your eyes. Memories we held dearly. Moments where we fell but got back up even stronger. Friends that came and went. Relationships that were great but didn't work in the end. Achievements and failures we made. Life flashes before your eyes.

That's what I experienced when I was on the brink of losing my life. I was protecting a villain. Siren to be exact. And I know that sounds absurd, but he and his fellow group were. . . how do I say this. . . good? In their own way?

The Syndicate is what they call themselves. And there is one thing you should know to never ever and I mean NEVER hurt one of the members of the Syndicate. Because why? Well. . . because they will go off the bat to protect themselves and their members. But why protect an acquaintance if they are bound to go to jail or get hurt?

Well, Dream didn't know what would happen if you hurt one of the members of the Syndicate. Hehe, but after Dream stabbed me through my stomach and before my ears started ringing I heard angry shouts. And I saw Siren's shocked face and then his face morphed into a stoic, angry one.

Then a lot of things happened at once, but I didn't hear any of it as I felt a hand grab me from Dream and into the arms of Siren. I've seen an axe getting thrown at him, angry noises in my peripherals. But there is one thing that stood out the most when I was on the verge of losing consciousness, and that it was Dream's friends who shouted at Dream and started to move towards him to stop him.

Again. . . why? I've been asking myself that. WHY? Why? wHY?

It just seems that everyone has one thing in common. . . moral code.
