We played videogames again and I let this little tsundere win for once like a good friend. He was pretty happy and was boasting of his gaming skills. Have to say the truth though, his gaming skills are still trash. But, I was having a lot of fun as well, I wondered what Aaron was doing. I did leave a note though, so he must be fine. That night's scenes still haunt me.
"Who is the loser now, noodles hair?"
Alright, I take it back. I shouldn't have let him win as a good friend. I rolled my eyes and stretched my arms out as much as I could as we were playing for quite a while. That was enough games for tonight. I was very tired and my body was aching for a good night's sleep. I went up to him and rubbed his hair with a smile,
"Thanks for having me tonight" I thanked him with one genuine smile as I could see him try to restrain himself from smiling,
"Whatever, I was just killing time anyways," he said bluntly as he got up and removed my hand from his head. A little giggle rose upon my snout as I laughed at his silliness, he never changed.
"That's the tsundere I know" I laughed as I could see him getting annoyed,
"For the last time, I AM NOT A TSUNDERE!" he said as I just continued to laugh at him mockingly, don't tell me bullying your best friend is wrong!
"Alright, I am sleepy-"
"Wait" He stopped my sloppy statement, I could sense worry in his interruption. I raised one of my eyebrows, waiting for him to continue,
"If someone comes in, there is a saferoom beside your door. If anything happens, go in there and grab a gun to protect yourself...got it?"
"Uhm, do you have a knife?" I asked with a childish smile, I wondered why he said that out of the blue, but better safe than sorry.
"You don't know how to use a gun don't you?" He facepalmed himself as he suddenly received a call. What is with him getting thousands of calls at night? He groaned with exhaustion as he took his phone out of his pocket and turned to me,
"Sorry, gotta get it" He apologized as he went out to the balcony to attend the call as fast as he could. I paced to my room and snuggled myself under those cosy bed covers, but something seemed...off. Something was not letting me sleep–it was THAT same uncomfortable feeling I felt that night.
The door creaked open and my breath almost stopped, my eyes lingered on the person on the door as I wished it should not be him and thank goodness it was not. It was Henry all dressed up formally with a not-a-great expression on his face,
"There was another murder...I have to leave" he muttered bitterly as my heart sank,
"Be careful out there, partner," I said with a bittersweet smile as he sighed,
"You too."

\\Henry's POV//
Be careful out there? I was worried about leaving her in the house alone! Penelope told me to just come, I didn't even know anything about the crime. I quickly drove to the place Penelope told me about and I wondered if that image was going to cause me nightmares for a few days again. Hopefully not.
"There you are..." I heard a familiar gloomy voice greeting me as I got out of the car and paced to the crime scene with unease.
"Tell me about it," I said as Penelope flipped some reports in her hand and answered,
"Seven murders. It was planned very carefully, we couldn't find much evidence"
"So the count became eighteen, huh?" I sighed in defeat as I saw the monstrosity...it was bad. I kept in mind that I had to investigate as fast as I could cause she was alone. I could not afford to forgive myself if I failed to save her. I looked at each and every victim's background to find something that may be common...maybe I was searching in the wrong area?
"D-Detective, we found a brown hair that i-is similar to yours-"
"Suspecting your detective, eh?" I smiled bitterly as I could see them denying with guilt,
"N-No! That is not w-what I meant-"
"It is alright, it happens." I said as I took a closer look at the hair they found, I touched it with my bare fingers and I felt it different than normal human hair,
"It is fake," I said as they inspected it for a bit and agreed with me, "Did you find any prints?"
"Yes, we did" answered Penelope as my face brightened up, Did I finally get evidence?
"But...it is not on the database" she mumbled as I was totally confused...how the h*ll is that even possible? How can it not exist in the database?
"D-Did you look into the files of Aaron Schemidict?" I asked without beating around the bush as something occurred to me–if the hair was fake, then the fingerprint must be too, but why? Was it to...stall time? Stall time for what?
"PENELOPE, TAKE CARE OF THIS, I LEFT HER ALONE!" I yelled as I ran as fast as I could to the car and started it as I quickly took off to my house at full speed.
"Left who alone?"
...
I parked the car roughly on the side of the road and quickly rushed inside, I had to make sure she was alright. I felt sweat dripping down my forehead and my hands trembled a bit as they were on the doorknob. I felt nervous...I was not too late, was I? I grit my teeth and opened the door with caution,
"Henry? You are back this early?" I heard a voice in the darkness and I felt relieved. She was safe...was I overreacting? or did they mean something else-
I suddenly jerked as I heard glass shatter, I felt commotion near me as I ducked and caught whatever that was,
"You need more than that to plunge this knife onto me, mister," I said as I turned over to her who was petrified, "VE Y TOMA UN ARMA...AHORA" (Spanish)
"GO GRAB A GUN...NOW" (translation in English)

Pro tip: When you are stuck with a dangerous person, don't ever speak the same language that the attacker could understand. Speak a different language that only you and the other one who you are trying to convey understand. By the way, I used google translator lol-
I dont know Spanish-
