Dark Angel

Introduction:

The eyes are the mirror to the soul; we all have an inner beast. This is the story of a man who had it all and wanted more and gets just what he deserves. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it and it may not be what you want. The grass isn't always greener on the other side....

The characters I'm going to introduce to you are based on people I once knew, with the exceptions of the lead characters. There are two sides of the same coin...

This story represents our own prejudice and fears of anything different. We don't confront our fears until they're pointed out to us. When they are different we just lash out and often at the people who are trying to help us.
We can't always change what we don't like. Things we don't like are a fact of life...Power hungry people will always starve in the end; it's a hunger that can never be satisfied.

I question morals, religion and ethics. Where is the line between good and evil? The eyes are the mirror to the soul and I reflect on people's perspectives. Greed is an oar consuming thing. Don't get engulfed by it, there may not be a way back from it...

I'm not a preacher, I'm not even religious, well not the prescribed religion. My faith is in myself; every action has a reaction, only my conscience stops me from doing wrong....we've got to be able to sleep at night with the things we do in life.

This story is an amalgamation of every type of person there is in the world. We all aspire to our own ideas. This story is about the UN-idealistic world we live in and that good doesn't always triumph over evil. Sometimes badness worms its way into our lives.

but Life does continue after death, if not in body but in the memories of our loved ones left
behind, regaling friends with tales of your life keeping you alive in the mind and hearts of all who knew you.
life always finds a way to survive.

we inevitably evolve but we might not like or even recognize what the end result is. Now I'll leave it up to you to draw your own conclusions. Enjoy my adventure, created for you. That's all I have to say for now. Only your imagination will hold you back.

Raised from the ashes:

Chapter one

Life before death

Brian Robertson was a troublesome young child. He could never get used to his mother who just wanted the best life for her and her son. She remarried after his dad left them when Brian was only six.
Even though his step dad Geoff was a better man than his real dad John ever was.

Geoff was hard working and supported Brian in whatever phase he was going through, he had never raised a hand to Brian or his mother. But this was never enough for Brian. His biological father used to take out his resentment of how his life had turned out on his mother

Sometimes he gets in the way of his dad's fists, trying to defend his mother.
When he wasn't beating them he was passed out drunk or stoned,
his excuse was that he'd been laid off from work after the factory
he'd worked at was closed down due to the loss of a major contract abroad.
Where workers were cheaper and more productive than their western European counterparts.
His father was just a freeloader with expired ideals he thought the world owed him a living.

Brian would rebel for years to come; he would stay out late drinking with his friends and also dabbling in soft recreational drugs like weed and taking acid in the park, causing trouble in the local neighbourhood. After being caught using an air rifle shooting parked cars and windows.

If he came home at all, he was being brought home by the police. He had no respect for his mum or step dad. His mum would be called to the hospital on a nightly basis where Brian would be having his stomach pumped after passing out drunk,
