Chapter 16 - Dead?

"Ah, sh*t... Here's river come..." Avery thought.

"Me scared..." Makayla spoke, quietly.

"Most of us are scared..." Kyleigh spoke, "Except Kylie, she's kind of ready to kill River..."

"Really!?" Max asked. Shocked.

"Yeah..." She answered.

River came up the roof, and looked for a pink haired cat...She had her ears down, with her cat fur on her tail went up, so did her cat hair... She shivered; she wasn't really ready. Kyleigh was incorrect... What if she died? There was a myth that cats have 9 lives...

Was it true?
Well let's find out!

"Who's killing river?" Asked Kiki.

"I will." She whispered, to Kiki.

Kylie walked up slowly, with herself, looking dark...Once River chuckled, with a laugh...She turned to Kylie while she raised her tenacles up...High ready to slice her up, into slices.

"Kylie, be careful, she's a demon..." Max spoke.

"I'm careful, I am well aware...Trust me." She quietly replied.

River used her hand power, and she threw the ball at Kylie. She dodges the ball, pretty fast...With a cat leap, she leaped in the air, and used her reaper...Having it behind her, to slice one tencials off.

Before she was close to her tenacles, River used her sharp nails, and stabbed it into Kylie's neck...She shrieked like a cat, then River threw her on the floor...

She hit mostly everything on the roof, making it to a dead end...She had her head down, with her scratch in her neck bleeding.

"She needs to heal up, Max goes over there, we'll try to distract River!" Yelled Kiki.

Max ran over to Kylie, he didn't even care to listen to Kiki, except her. Few minutes later, Kylie managed to heal herself, with the help of Dark Cupid Art... Her blood turned the same color and she healed herself and Max's wounds.

"Thanks Kylie..." Max spoke.

"Mhm..." She mumbled...

They both got up, Kylie used her wings and flew to River with full speed...River was too distracted by the rest of the squad and once Kylie got closer, she looked at River....

Then kicked her in the face, her face squished against each other... She started to fall down and fell on the ground for a little. 

"Nice..." Lydian thought.

Kylie gasped, and then she walked away...While River was done, she growled and looked around herself, making sure everyone is okay....

"What's up?" Asked Max, flying up the sky with her.

"It's just River, just fell on the ground..." Kylie replied.

"So? What's wrong with that?" He questioned.

"It's just she might get very angry and probably knock us all out." She answered.

"Maybe..." Max thought.

"She won't..." Lydian replied.

"I hope not..." Kylie muttered.

~ Hours Later ~

River woke up and she found the squad gone... They were in the staircase, to the rooftop... Max waited for River to come down, he had a perfect plan...Kylie liked it so much, that she was holding his hand tightly...

"Max, you think this would work?" She asked.

"Of course...You liked it, didn't you?" He asked.

"Yeah, pretty much. It sounds awesome..." Kylie answered.

Max raised his eyebrows and had his face with a smug. His eyes went a little down, while he turned to Kylie...Looking at her lips, she was staring at his too.

"She'll come down any minute." Kylie whispered.

"We know." Max whispered, "She's awake."

She smiled at him, and her smile looked warm...

Minutes passed, and Kylie heard River coming down...She started looking at the staircase and turned to Max... She heard a rumble downstairs, they got caught.

"We are busted." Kylie whispered quietly.

"I know...Just be ready." He answered.

River came down...Kylie had her reaper in her hands, tightly holding it...She hold it so tightly, and jumped at River once she came fully down the stairs, River screamed, trying to get the cat off her face....

Kylie's eyes were light pink, with the sharp pupils. Max's has in his eyes, her eyes were a bit glowy.
