Chapter 17 - Give Up?

She was still on River's face, while Max used his strings to hold her down for a bit more...To make her feel the pain she made Kylie felt, it must've hurt bad... The squad did nothing but watch, most of them left... Once Kylie was still on her face, she got pretty mad that her nails started to glow.

Max gasped, then he thought.
"That's bad news..."

But why bad news?

Well, the bad part is Kylie could explode most of the building and she could probably die, or she could make it. Unless if the explosion is not too bad, like she loses control. Few minutes later, the explosion got a bit big, that it exploded the whole thing...

"Kylie!" Max yelled.

She flew away pretty fast, but Max thankfully caught her tail with his strings.... He pulled her close to him and held her in his two hands. She wasn't awakened or anything. No talking, she wasn't doing anything!

"Max!" Makayla coughed, struggling to get to Max, "Where are you?"

"Over here!" Max yelled, waving his tail.

Makayla gasped and ran.
"How's mom?"

"I don't know...She might not make it!" Max panicked.

Makayla gasped again, she looked everywhere and looked at Kylie slowly....
"What's that under her face?"

"I don't know." Max answered.

"Find out." Makayla replied.

He removed the mask off her face, then gasped...It was her real face, her mouth looked a bit small, but it was trembling. Like she was going to cry or if she was in a nightmare.

Her eyes were filled with water as well, she might be stuck in something in her head.

~ By the way, what I mean by explode is like her Cupid art explodes, all dark pink and it's either she makes it or not.... ~

"Max, she might make it!" Makayla cheered.

"We don't know..." He said, looking at. her.

He put his hand on her cheek and closed his eyes. Makayla closed her eyes too crying...She leaned her head on Kylie's shoulder, hoping she doesn't die.

Just then, something put its hand on Max's wrist. He gasped and opened his eyes quickly...Looking at Kylie. It was. her.

"Kylie..." Max muttered.

"Max, I am okay..." She gently spoke.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yes..." She spoke.

Max smiled, and he almost cried happy tears...He did anyways, hugging Kylie tightly, so did Makayla, after hearing Kylie's voice...

They got up and Kylie smiled, cheerfully at Max. He looked at her shyly, then turned away. She smooched his cheek, and Max gasped, chuckling. nervously.

"Thanks Kylie..." He answered.

"Mhm..." She moaned, putting her hand on his shoulder. 

Max smiled, warm...

"At least you're okay..." He muttered.

"Yeah..." She sighed.
