I cheered quietly and moved my arm, pressing the end of the handle to my chest. In one swift motion, I stabbed it out and dragged down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I launched myself out of the slash. Blood surrounded me, making it ten times cooler than it already was.I rolled on the ground and faceplanted. That kinda ruined my coolness.
"Ow."
I stood up while rubbing my forehead. All four of the pirates were staring at me, their jaws dropped.
"What?"
The worm roared. Or more accurately, whined loudly in pain. It bled everywhere. Then it stared at me.
A few minutes later, I was dodging hundreds of attacks from the worm. To say it wanted me dead would be a huge understatement.
It wanted to kill me slowly, burn my dead body over a fire, throw me into the dead sea, then fish me back out and eat me.
I landed on its back. It started thrashing around like an angry bull, trying to throw me off. I held on for dear life. Everyone started shouting directions at me.
None of them were helpful.
I shouted and just stabbed the worm in the head with my dagger. It didn't do much, but the worm threw me off its back and onto the roof of a building. A thought entered my mind.
"This is some kind of giant earthworm... if it were normal, it would just stay underground or wiggle on the ground. And it can't possibly be working alone."
A strange voice sounded behind me.
"Huh, so those pirates finally found someone else with a brain."
I turned and saw a guy wearing a fuzzy shirt, and what I thought was a matching hat, but it was his hair. He was pretty tall, probably taller than six feet. He had blue pants on.
"Captain buggy would want me to eradicate them after what they did to him. You must be in their crew."
"No. But I'd still fight you. You seem punchable. Plus the worm must be your doing."
"Oh, I just convinced him to attack this town for fun a while back. But once the strawhats-"
I just punched him.
"What's wrong with-"
I kicked his shin, and he fell to the ground.
"If you explain the plan, the fighting will take longer and you'll be ready for it."
I kneed him in the chin and kicked him again. He got up, and I kicked him a third time. He was baffled.
"This isn't how things are supposed to go! You're supposed to hear my plan-"
I cut him off with a loud backhand slap across the cheek. He glared at me.
"Shui!"
I was confused, when I realized Shui was a name. I heard a rumbling, and the worm roared so loud and so close to me, that I fell forward.
"Two on one isn't fair!"
I got up, and grabbed the guy by the arm.
"Lunch time, Shui!"
He started shouting.
"Don't worry, if you're smart then you'll be able to escape."
"NO! PLEASE!"
"Call the worm off or else I'll do it."
"YOU'RE CRAZY!"
"Damn right!"
"SHUI! ATTACK HER!"
Shui didn't move. It looked at me, then at him. It trembled in terror at how I was able to pick up someone so heavy.
"SHUI! I SAID ATTACK!"
Again, it didn't move. This time, I spoke in a soft tone.
"Shui, please leave this town, darling."
It turned and left.
"SHUI! YOU TRAITOR!"
"Hey, who wants animal man?"
"We've fought him before, you can just toss him."
"Cool."
I walked to the edge of the building and he started screaming and holding onto me.
"Is this really the guy who tried to kill you four?"
"One of them. And three, because usopp wasn't there."
"Damn."
By now, the guy was just confused.
"Anyways, I'll drop him now."
"NO!"
I dropped him and he landed on his face. He got up, and the pirates were looking at him in an intimidating way. He ran away screaming in terror. I laughed and slid down on a drainpipe.
"So, how's that for fighting?"
"You're awesome!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Yeah, I am."
"Hey, let's get out of here. Before that weird worm comes back."
"Usopp, if that thing has a brain, it won't."
"She's right. That thing should be terrified of her!"
I laughed.
"Well, I'll be going now."
"Aww! Already? C'mon, stay with us! We can hang out, and you can join our crew!"
"What? I can't do that."
"Why not?"
"I've never even left the lagoon, let alone the island altogether!"
"What's a lagoon?"
"The water between the shore and the dropoff."
"That's boring. Please?"
"Well... it sounds fun..."
I thought about the pros and cons.
Pros? I get to have fun, I get to leave the island, I get to see so many different islands, I get to be awesome. Cons? I have to deal with idiots like that. And I could die.
The pros far outweigh the cons.
"Fine, I'm in."
Luffy cheered.
"You can be my first mate!"
"So we let her join so you could replace me?!"
"I knew you were important on the crew, moss head!"
"Shut it, island girl."
"Okay, she can be my right hand woman!"
"I can live with that."
"Fine. But she isn't gonna be bossing me around."
We all started walking back to the other towns.
-The next day-
The strawhats were packing up their stuff after resting from the fight the night before. Specifically zoro.They had no clue where Y/n had gone, but they assumed she was packing and saying goodbye to her family and friends.
Zoro had been training, sitting on a barrel and lifting weights. When he heard a familiar and slightly annoying voice in his ear.
"Miss me, moss head?"
She scared him a lot more than he showed. He flinched, then glared at her and resumed training.
He knew he would get used to it. He would have to. No matter how annoying she was.
