As we all walked up the island's mountain, there were plants and animals everywhere. If it was still storming, we couldn't tell due to how thick the canopy was.

We were mostly walking in silence. A plant that resembled a Venus fly trap hissed at usopp, and he let out a terrified yell, then nervous laughter as he ran to catch up with us.

He didn't think twice about what he was doing. He jumped onto my back and held on. I was barely able to move or even support him.

"Get off of her, long nose. You'll crush her."

Usopp jumped off of me, and I stood up straight. I brushed the dirt from his shoes off of my shirt. We kept walking.

A little bit later, we'd started talking. Ish.

"Hey... this place is creepy..."

"Yeah, so?"

"It's said that somewhere on this island rests an unimaginable fortune just waiting to be found. Supposedly, many pirates have landed here in the past, but they all fled in absolute terror before they ever got a chance to look for it!"

I was nodding along to her story. Luffy gasped at the last part.

"Absolute terror?"

"I'd be afraid too. They say one pirate's face suddenly turned into a boar's face! And another's mustache stretched out like snakes and strangled him."

"Hey Nami? I wouldn't be telling these kinds of stories if I were you. I know luffy, zoro, and I can handle it, but Y'know. Usopp."

"Hey!"

We all looked at him. He sighed.

"That's fair."

We kept walking. Usopp spoke in a shaky voice.

"B-But those stories weren't true, right?"

"Well, I'm sure they were a bit exaggerated."

Usopp hid behind me and zoro.

"Don't talk anymore! You're scaring me!"
---------------------------------------------------------
Y/n laughed at what Usopp said. Since she did, and they were all wrapped up in their conversation, no one noticed the rustling trees. No one except zoro.

He turned and looked as soon as he heard it, no one noticing since he was behind everyone.
---------------------------------------------------------
Zoro let out a loud yawn. He walked off to the side. My giggles had subsided, so we were all just watching him.

"I'm tired. Nap time."

He sat down and lay on his back, his hands behind his head. His swords were next to him.

I shrugged and sat under a tree, my back against the trunk. I fell asleep just as fast as he did.
---------------------------------------------------------
The remaining pirates were shocked at how quickly and easily the two fell asleep in a place like that island.

"How could they fall asleep in such a creepy place?"

"They're either total idiots or have nerves of steel."

"Maybe they just don't think this place is creepy."

Luffy had been crouched down by a bunch of plants. He looked like he was examining something.

Usopp let out a shriek when what seemed to be a drop of water fell on his neck. Nami turned in a panic.

"What's happening? Are we in danger?!"

Usopp played it off horribly.

"What? Uh, no! I was just making up a little dance to liven things up!"

He did a horrible and ridiculous fake dance. Slowly but surely, they noticed a bunch of weird animals surrounding them.
---------------------------------------------------------
I woke up slowly. When I did, I saw a weird guy in the bottom half of a treasure box with hair that looked like a shrub in my face. He was standing on my chest.

We stared at each other for a moment, then I screamed and threw him off of me. Zoro was immediately alert after hearing my scream.

"What happened."

He saw the tiny man and looked a little freaked out himself.

"What kinda animal is that?"

"I'm not an animal!"

I slowly and cautiously walked closer. I kicked him, knocking him over. He started shouting. I jumped back.

"Woah, weird!" Luffy said in awe.

He poked the guy's forehead.

"I'M NOT WEIRD! NOW HELP ME UP!"

Luffy made a shocked noise and jumped back like I had.

Once we all calmed down, memories of the dream I'd been having flowed into my brain.

Memories of me.

Dreaming about zoro.

My face must've turned bright red in that moment. Why?

"You alright, island girl?"

Zoro looked at me curiously.

"Yeah! I'm fine! It's just a little warm."

He put his hand on my cheek to check my temperature. I wanted to scream so badly.

"You're fine."

He removed his hand from my face. I caught myself from breathing a sigh of relief. I started to think I was crazy for feeling like this. After all, I'd only met him two days ago.

I shook the thoughts from my head and finally helped the shrub man up.

"About time! Now get off my island!"

He started hopping around, trying to intimidate us. It didn't work since the shock had worn off.

"So what do we do with it? Eat it?"

"LUFFY!"

"What? I'm hungry!"

"You ate like an hour ago!"

"Zoro, tell Y/n she's being ridiculous!"

"We're going to run out of food if you keep eating like this."

"Exactly my point!"

I glanced up and saw the guy had hopped away.

"Well, there he goes."

Luffy ran off after him without another thought. We all got up and followed.

We all ended up at a cliffside. The weirdo was standing next to us, hiding in his hair.

"Wow, what an amazing hiding spot."

My voice was laced with sarcasm, which got a laugh out of zoro. The guy started running, and he ran into a tree. He fell onto his back.

The sun came out, and we got a good look at his face. It was shaped a bit like a pear, and he had a unibrow with a missing tooth. He looked tired and unshaven.

He started shouting at us as if he hadn't been the creep standing on me.

"Stand me up! Stand me up already!"

Luffy and usopp sat the guy up.

"Uh, I'll let you off with a warning this time."

He started to run.

"Nope!"

Luffy stretched his arm and grabbed him by the hair.
