Nick's POV:

After what the girl said, no one on the table talked.

We all got to class, and it was the most boring thing ever, the teacher sucked and the subject was boring, nothing new. I think I might have actually fallen asleep for an hour. But as soon as the bell rang, I looked at the girl, and she's practically sprinting out of the class, but Vince asks her where she's rushing to, and she replies with a 'you'll find out soon', I hate it when people say that, especially girls.

Alexandra's POV:

I sprint out of class and go to the girls locker room, and change into my football uniform, it's some pants and a long sleeve T shirts, it's a bit tight on my chest, but it will work for now, I can't risk showing my beat up skin. I put my hair in a bun and hide it under a hat. I walk out into the field and see that no one got here yet, I found a ball and started playing around with it singing a song from my childhood, I remember when I made this song with my only friend at that time. I got a bit carried away, and didn't realise that others already got here, but once I did I quickly stopped playing and went to sit on the bleachers. I waited there for the coach to come, and while waiting I felt a lot of eyes on me, all men eyes, then I realised I was the only woman there.

Nick's POV:

Me and Vince walk to the football field, we were the first to enter, well that's what we thought before we saw someone already playing on my field by themselves. I couldn't tell who it was because they are wearing a hat, but I could tell it was a woman by their chest.

"Wow, she's pretty good" I hear Vince say. "Not good enough to make the team." I say firmly

"Is it because she's a woman, and it's coaches decision to make, and I think he'll like her, I think she's good" he says defending who ever was on the field. I scoffed "whatever, she won't last a day with my training, I am the captain of the team after all"

As I watch her play a bit I hear she's singing a song, a song that only I know, and one other person, I was our song, I song we made, I'm stunned on how they know that song.

A few moments pass as she realises that the players are already here, she immediately stopped playing and went to sit on the bleachers, I tried to look at her face and see who it was but she put her head down, as if she doesn't want us to see who it is on purpose.

Now everyone is staring at her as she sits, then she says "Have you never seen a woman before?"  Everyone quickly looks away and continues to change.

Soon after the coach comes and tells us to line up on the field "hello fellow students, it's great to have you here. My name is coach Kent, and I'll be your football coach for this year if you make it on the team" he says

"For today I'll have you separated into two teams and you'll play against each other, in that way I can see how well you can do while playing in a game, but for now we'll do a warm up." He continues "now you'll all run around the field 5 times, after you're done, take a ball from the basket over there and practice with the cones" he says pointing first at the basket then the cones "after that I'll divide you into to teams and we can start with the real deal" he adds "now go run" he tells us as we one by one run in circles around the field.

As I run I can't stop thinking about the song that the girl was singing, how did she know that song?

Alexandra's POV:

I start running, I feel someone's eyes on my, I look around only to find Nickolas staring at me, he really has a problem with me or he's in love with me, but from what I heard he has a girlfriend, so it's probably the first option. But then I thought does he even know it's me, I mean my face and hair are covered and I'm wearing different clothes. I'm pretty convinced that he has no idea that it's me, but why does he keep staring at me?

Nick's POV:

once the warm up is done, we get 2 minutes to drink water and sit down to catch a breath. I look at the girl and see that's she's not breathing fast, she isn't even sweating when she's wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt, I walk up to her "how aren't you sweating at all?" I ask still trying to catch my breath.

She doesn't look at me, "well for starters, I don't show off by running faster, and I keep up the same pace so I don't get to tired before the actual tryouts" she says still looking down

My curiosity kicks in and I ask "could you please look at me"

"Nope" she says firmly, I get slightly annoyed and angry, so I try to snatch the hat of her head but she ducks down as if she knew I was going to do that

"You're very predictable" she says giggling as she walks away

"Better luck next time dude" I feel Vince's hand on my shoulder

"Please Vince, I'm not in the mood for your jokes, and I have a feeling I know who that girl is" I say, and they coach calls us to line up on the field again

We all line up, and I'm standing in between Vince and the girl. "Okay, I will say different positions, and the first two people to raise will get that position, but remember you'll be in different teams." Says the coach.

Most of the players have already been picked, including Vince, he's the goalkeeper. "Now, centre midfielder. The coach says. I raise my hand and feel I hand next to mine in the air, I look to the side and see that the girl raising her hand as well, I look around and see that no one else is raising there hand.

"This is going to fun" I whisper to myself

"Good luck" she whispers to me before we step into our position
