Century 22's upcoming plans

Of all the programs I love and have written for, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons is the series I wish to write for the most. I am very happy with the stories of Captain Scarlet I have written so far in 2023, and other interesting facts I have written about the series such as the cancelled 2003 video game or the CGI test film from 2000. For the Anniversary of Captain Scarlet, I have decided to reveal ideas I have for the series to write for future stories based around Captain Scarlet.

In 2024, I plan to write for a Gerry Anderson crossover featuring the majority of characters from the series made by Anderson, following on from my previous SUPERMARIONATION crossovers. This will see a large team up between heroes and villains unite for an epic battle between good and evil. As Captain Scarlet a favourite series of mine and an essential production to the legacy of Gerry Anderson, Scarlet will be at the forefront of this crossover. The heroes that team up may not immediately like each other, therefore we will see organisations go up against organisations, International Rescue Vs the Terrahawks, the World Space Patrol against SHADO, or maybe Spectrum against Moonbase Alpha? SPVs and Saloon Cars disembarking from the pod of Thunderbird 2? I look forward to producing this new story, ready for 2024.

2025 will see the 20th Anniversary of the New Captain Scarlet. To mark this event, Century 22 Productions will be publishing a trilogy of stories set after the events of the final episode of the reboot, to see how the war of nerves plays out. Already the 2022 graphic novel of NCS attempts to answer these questions, but my trilogy will slowly see what happens next to Spectrum as they tackle new threats to world security. Some new foes will be introduced, but the return of the Mysterons is inevitable. Over the trilogy, it will become apparent that the Mysterons did survive the events of the finale and will continue to strike against humanity for Captain Black's unprovoked attack on their people. These three stories will be made available between late 2024 and early 2025.

Other ideas I have, mainly based on the original series, include expanding on the Lunarville moon stations, based on my favourite episodes of Captain Scarlet - Lunarville 7 and Crater 101. In other stories, maybe the Mysterons ransom energy generators and hold the power supply of vital parts of the world render less and power resources are destroyed and go haywire, or Spectrum investigate closer into other signals transmitting from Mars that could come from the Mysterons. An aircraft may escape from the clutches of Spectrum, and go on a collision course to crash at a homing beacon at a site where a special program to aid mankind or to tackle the Mysteron menace is based occurring. There may be a Mysteron agent like Captain Black Spectrum fail in tracking down as he causes unimaginable terror for the people of Earth.

 Captains Scarlet and Blue may have to pursue a Mysteron agent through the treacherous snow and fog who holds a deadly canon capable of vaporising matter, and we see their vehicles such as the SPV struggling to cope in the conditions of the weather. The Mysterons could give men powers beyond the capabilities of Earth doctors, or a victim to the Mysterons has an accident in the process of retro-metabolism, causing him to be abnormally inhuman than any other Mysteron agent. Perhaps even Spectrum find the answer to their war of nerves with the Mysterons with a steady diplomacy in ending their conflict, for the short term it seemed.

Whatever ideas I come up with for Spectrum's Number One agent, Captain Scarlet is sure to be continued by Century 22 Productions to produce brand new adventures of this cult classic franchise for many years still to come. Spectrum is green.
