In the year 2065, the oceans of the world are patrolled under the World Aquanaut Security Patrol (W.A.S.P) based at Marineville, North America. Marineville houses a fleet of submarines, aircraft, and rockets that are helped to prevent global conflict across the world's oceans. With the discovery of underwater races living beneath the sea, Marineville's task has been to uncover further mysteries about the ocean and it's inhabitants, whether they are peaceful or not. Pride of the WASP is Stingray, a super sonic, atomic powered submarine led by the heroic Captain Troy Tempest. The crew of Stingray also combine Lieutenant Phones and the mute mermaid Marina who patrol the oceans of the world uncovering new underwater discoveries.
