-Fallen Leaves's POV-

He prowled in the undergrowth, stalking the strengthening voices as he heard yelping and hissing. A twitching body rolled into the undergrowth beside him. He quickly dragged it through the tunnel, the cat barely conscious. He whipped around as Hollyleaf ran past him. "Hey! Where are you going?" He hurried into the tunnel only to realize a tunnel had collapsed. He laid the shivering body down beside a sprout of weeds, and bounded back outside the tunnel.

"Hollyleaf!" He called. I don't have time for this! A cat's life is in StarClan's paws while she's out! But I can't leave her. Or a dying cat...

He bounded back through the forest, hearing the same hisses and yowls of pain as before. This time, he peered through the bushes. A golden tabby with amber eyes was drenched in blood while a gray she-cat nearby was crouching in undergrowth, scarcely visible. Her eyes were closed yet her Clanmates were fighting. She had a bleeding ear. He smelt the stench that Hollyleaf had described as 'frogs, rats and moss'. Her description of ShadowClan scent. 'Wood and
sap', she described as ThunderClan. The golden tabby smelt of sap. He and a brown, broad-shouldered tabby with dark striped were fighting alongside each other, the dark tabby battered. A couple moments later, a gray and white tom with short whiskers and a black tom with long hind legs and brown belly sprang over two cats and landed square on a gray tom's shoulders. A poppy seed colored tom nipped a white she-cat who smelt of mud and wet grass. Fallen Leaves recoiled. He jerked backwards as another cat was flung into the bushes, hitting their head on a rock. This cat had a gray-blueish pelt with an unknown eye color. Their eyes were closed. Fallen Leaves dragged him back through the tunnels, a wound under his hind leg bleeding profusely, all while their head was bashed. Why would anyone want to live like this? Fallen Leaves questioned silently. As he reached the stream, he laid down the second body. To Fallen Leaves' surprise, the first cat was awake.
"Where am I?" The tom stuttered.
Fallen Leaves hesitated, then spoke. "You are in the tunnels,"  he murmured. "Like, the ones Hollyleaf died in?" The tom whispered, as if it was a forbidden thing to speak. "But didn't they collapse?" Fallen Leaves opened his jaws to speak, but he couldn't answer out of fear.
The water rose, wetting his forepaws and hind legs and his flank. He desperately moved his paws up and down. The water billowed all the way up to his nose. He gasped for air, but all he did was drink in water. He opened his eyes and he was back in the tunnels. The cat was looking at him expectantly. "Hollyleaf! I'll be right back," he mewed quietly.
