Yaten's mother is abusive, and her father is dead.
Seiya's mother is sweet and caring, her father left Kinmoku before Seiya was born.
Taiki is an orphan.

"Mama can i go outside?" Yaten was begging her "Fine you're a disappointment anyways" Yaten's mother slapped her before she went outside. "Finally, I'm let out of the house!" Yaten squealed as she bumped into someone "HEYYY watch it!!" Yaten screams at the girl "I'm sorry i wasn't paying attention, my name is Kou Seiya." Seiya sounded distressed. "Ugh, I guess i forgive you, my name is Kou Yaten" Yaten was still irritated. "You should be careful around here, it's dangerous" Seiya took Yaten's hand and places it on her cheek. "Um Seiya i know we just met but can i stay with you... my mother is abusive..." Yaten was worried Seiya would not let her stay with her. "Sure, I'll take you to my house! My mother is so sweet you'll love her!" Seiya sounded content. "Yea right" Yaten rolled her eyes "Oh also Yaten i have a friend i want you to meet, her name is Kou Taiki!" Seiya grabbed Yaten by the hand and started pulling her "Stop touching me!" Yaten slapped Seiya "Ow, why did you slap me?!" Seiya turned to Yaten "I hate being touched! "Oh, gomenasai for touching you" Seiya bowed to Yaten "You don't really need to bow to me Seiya" Yaten just continued walking "Sorry..." Seiya felt awkward.
*Time skip*
"So, is this your house?" Yaten was unsure "Yea it is" Seiya unlocked her door and went inside "Mama can my friend stay over tonight?" Seiya shouted across the room "Sure honey! but first let me see them" Seiya's Mom came down the hall "Mama this is Kou Yaten" Seiya pointed to Yaten "Oh it's a pleasure to meet you Yaten, I'm Seiya's Mom, you can call me Jasper!" Jasper patted Yaten's head "Please don't touch me and also how long can i stay...?" Yaten walked backwards a bit "You can stay as long as you like!" Jasper wishes Yaten will stay forever "Can i stay forever? My mom is abusive and i don't want to live with her" Yaten hopes she says yes "YES OF COURSE YOU CAN!! I'll take you to the extra room!" Jasper was so excited to have another kid to take care of, Yaten walked to the extra room with Jasper "Damn this room is big" Yaten looked around the empty room "Ill go to the store to get you some stuff for your room, Also what is your favorite color?" Jasper was getting ready to go to the store "My favorite color is Green" Yaten walked away to go find Seiya, "Hmm i should go visit Taiki" Seiya put her shoes to the side of her bed incase she wants to go "Hey Seiya you in here?" Yaten opened Seiya's door "Hey Yaten, Wanna meet Taiki?" Seiya got up and walked to Yaten "Yea sure!" Yaten was excited to meet Taiki
