#5 ~ Haikyuu!

Kageyama x Hinata

[Part I]

A tall, tall wall looms infront of me. What's the view on the other side ?
What does it looks like ?
The view from the top ...
... it's a view I could never see on my own.

I run inside the gym where my first ever tournament will going to happen. It's my first official match in my Junior High School. I sniffed on the air and smell the Salonpas.

I watch in awe as the different Junior High School players like me are having their own versions of Warm Ups. My eyes sparkles as I get intimidated by them. It's so cool !

"Uwaaaaaaah ! I'm don't know what this feels !" I almost shouted in the huge gym were in.

"Shou-chan. Don't be so nervous." One of my teamates said.

I sighed. As expected. This is my first time to attend tournaments like this. Argh. My stomach starts to hurt. I felt my sweat starts to drop from my face even though we still didn't do some warm ups.

Oh no ! This is bad. My stomach starts to roll like it was beaten up by someone. Relax ! Calm down ! I can do this. We can do this.

I tried to stand up properly not even thinking about my aching stomach. I start to talk how much the other players were so tall and looks so powerful and skillful.

Can we even beat them ? uhh-- Of Course ! We can ! I start to fool around with my teamates as the Captain. I keep on thanking the freshmans for joining the Volleyball Club.

It's good that we can really come here even though the six of us are so unexperienced about this, I know we can still do it.

"We have made it all the way to the tournament, we have to win." I stated seriously.

"How's our opponent Kitagawa Daiichi like ?" My teamate said.

"Eh ? I don't know. But we're going to do it." I said full of confidence.

As soon as I said those words, a group with super tall members were already behind me. They were wearing a blue with white jacket with pure blue pants. Kitagawa Daiichi were printed in the back of their Official Uniform.

Then again, I was being intimidated by them. I stare at their team as they walk infront of us. I follow where they were going and going to stare at them even more when the last person walk infront of me.

He walk infront of us with proud. It's like I just saw a Royal Cape and Crown on him. He's tall and he has that annoyed face. I went back to reality when they entered the Gym and most of the crowd were shouting for them.

"Woah ! Kitagawa Daiichi." I heard someone said.

"They were the candidates to win this tournament." Another random person said.

"Of course. The 'King' is one of them." I, another heard someone commented about them.

"Eh ? Really ?" The person behind him ask.

"Yeah. King of the Court." The one who was stretching said.

"Who's that ?" One of the unknown person beside them ask.

"You don't know him ??" The person behind them again talked.

"Kageyama Tobio." The first person who commented about them answered.

"They call him the 'King of the Court'. He's an amazing setter." Another answered again.

Kageyama .. Kageyama Tobio huh ? Is he the one that made me mesmerize and almost gawk to him ? Is that his name ? Oh my gosh. My heart is pounding just by looking at his back. What will happen to me once he looks at me completely ? I can't take it !

The referees were already introduced and now, we have to bow down against our opponent.

We stand up from both of the opposite edges of the court as we face each other. I suddenly saw him frowning with a very serious face.

"Bow !" The referee said.

"Let's play a good match." We all said as I felt the nervousness and excitedment mixing inside me.

Our team's defeat was predictable but I didn't give up even though I know that this will be the result.

My tears suddenly fell down to my cheeks as I tried to stop it. It hurts like hell .. This feeling of defeat.

"Shou-chan. It's okay." One of my teamates said comforting me.

I can't contain it and run outside of the stadium. I was running downwards in the stair when Kitagawa Daiichi was walking on the other part of the stairs.

I .. Saw him again. I put on all of my courage just to call out to him.

"Kageyama !" I shouted as he stopped walking and turn around to look at me.

There I saw his annoyed face while frowning at me. He didn't even answer me.

"I'm definitely going to win next time. We're going to have another match in high school." I stated as I felt myself tear up even more.

He just gave me pokerface and walk away from me. I sighed as I noticed two of my teamates who were my closest friends at school.

I bow down as I'm still crying.

"Thanks for joining Volleyball Club guys." I said as I heard them sniffing.

I look at them and their eyes tells me that they were near to cry too. I smiled at them as I head back home using my bike.

That's how my Junior High School ended. I trained after that hurtful match to become stronger and for Kageyama to notice and acknowledge me.

It's the first day of school and I ride my bike crossing almost 3 mountains just to attend High School which is Karasuno High.

After parking my bike, I run as fast as I can inside the school building planning to go straight to the gym where the Little Giant I admired the most practiced volleyball in his high school days.

But unfortunately, the school is very crowded and it's very hard to move. Thanks to my petite height, I can move below the sea of people.

After that tiring move, I run towards the gym. I was in my P.E Uniform and ready to practice volleyball.

As I walk near the gym door, I heard someone is practicing. I open it forcefully and that revealed a raven haired guy ready to jump for a Jump Serve.

I blink many times as I suddenly realized who is the guy in the gym.

My heart starts pounding as I suddenly can't hear anything. I feel very light like I was going to float with the clouds beside me.

I suddenly went back to reality when I again realized what situation I am in. I almost panicked when I (again) realized that he was here standing in flesh.

"What the hell are you doing here KAGEYAMA TOBIO ?!?!?" I panicked.
