Jeno and Jaemin were the kind of couple that made everyone believe in the power of love. Their laughter echoed through the streets, their gestures of affection were a sight to behold, and their love story was like a fairytale unfolding before their friend's eyes. However, the entry of Renjun, Jaemin's best friend, into their lives created a lot of changes in Jeno's life.Well,at least that's what Jeno thought.

In the Seoul's town enchanting park, with its winding paths and blooming flowers, was the backdrop for Jeno and Jaemin's afternoon stroll. The sun cast a warm glow over the scene as they walked hand in hand, but an unspoken tension hung in the fresh air. The both of them had a cheeky smile on each other's face. Suddenly,Jeno asked Jaemin a question.

"You've been spending a lot of time with Renjun," Jeno finally said, his voice sounded with a mix of concern and hesitation.

Jaemin's brows furrowed, his eyes reflecting his confusion. "Jeno, Renjun's my best friend. You know that." he claimed.

Jaemin asked again . " Is there something wrong with me hanging out with him baby? "

Jaemin continued, " If you don't like him I can stop hanging out with him. After all he's my best friend...I can't just not hang out with him when he just came here for a holiday..I really hope you understand,Jeno." Jaemin sighs

Jeno nodded, but he still felt uneasy doing so , "I do, but I can't help feeling like I'm being pushed aside.Not to be mean but , I miss our moments together.Jaemin,I know I might be overreacting."

Jeno continued , " But could you at least spend some time with me? You've been hanging out with him all week now..I tried to talk to you at the campus earlier but you seem to not hear me.." he expressed his sadness

Jeno sighs . " You know you could always tell me if you're busy right? I won't bother you.. " 

Jaemin hearing Jeno feels sorry , but he tried to explain again

" I know baby,but can you try not to mention my friend too many times? I kinda dislike it that you're complaining about us. " Jaemin spoke up. 

Hearing that,Jeno really felt that his heart shattered to pieces,does Jaemin really mean that? Was he overreacting? Jeno asks himself. 

Jaemin's lips curved into a soft smile, his fingers threading through Jeno's. "You're my priority, Jeno. I promise to make things right between us,alright? Do you trust me , baby? "

Jeno hummed , though he smiled the least he could. "Okay Jaemin..."

Jaemin smiled widely , " That's my babyyy ~ "

Their eyes met, and in that instant, they both understood that their love was too strong to be overshadowed by misunderstandings. Their bond was built on trust and understanding, and this was just a chapter in their journey. For now , at least .

Jeno went home , sighing heavily . He knew what Jaemin would say . Jeno was just his boyfriend , Renjun knew Jaemin WAY longer that he himself. Hell , he's sure he can't be compared to Renjun at all!

Jeno then shoved himself into his pillow, crying all he can.He assures himself that everything will be okay if he doesn't overthinks.

However, as days turned into weeks, Jeno's unease grew into a sense of loneliness. Despite Jaemin's reassurances, he kept feeling left out and lonely, and Jeno found himself confiding in Karina, his own best friend. He was glad she was there to comfort him, other than giving him advices.
