It was midnight. I found myself watching my best friend sleep. Weird? Maybe, but I didn't care. I got up and started my routine: shower, teeth, breakfast. Then I headed to my office to start work.

When I woke up, Ethan wasn't beside me. I went downstairs and made some oatmeal. While it was in the microwave, I checked his office. There he was, working away.
"Hey, Ethan."
"Oh hey, Ash."
"What’re you doing?"
"Working. Why else would I be here?"
"Oh, hush. When you're done, can we go to the park?"
"Uhhhh, sure, I guess."
"YAY! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
"Shhh, Liam is still sleeping!"
"Oh, right. Forgot."
After a while, I was ready and Ethan had finished his work. We headed to the park and had a great time. We played on the swings and slides. Some people were cooking and gave us food. It was delicious. We brought some back for Liam and headed home.
By the way, is it normal to have a crush on your childhood best friend? Just asking for a friend, of course.

Oh lord, he is so adorable. His laugh, so loud and joyful, reminded me of a baby's. I don't know if I can tell him I like him, but one day, I hope I will.
