a/n: before I begin I want to make it abundantly clear that I mean no disrespect to anyone mentioned in this piece. this is a work of fiction and should be treated as such. there will be a fair few scenarios that don't accurately reflect reality. please let me know if you want me to continue, I haven't written in a couple of years so this may be ass... ♡
meet sheva
batsheva demsky-mendel. 1992.
raised in the suburbs of cherry hill, new jersey, sheva is an overachieving nice jewish girl who happens to have the status of an international movie star. she is an egot contending, 2-time american vogue cover featuring, julliard graduate and a self-proclaimed 'cat mom.'
when she's not driving around beverly hills with the likes of sophie richtsteig, she's crocheting with her grandmother in her humble family home across the states... to some she's an it-girl with a lifestyle to die for, and to others... well, she's just another spoiled socialite with a couple of movies under her belt and an obnoxious set of influencer friends. this debate had inevitably spilled into the chelsea f.c. women's changing rooms...the team were informed that they would be mentoring a handful of member's from the cast of score, an up and coming feminist dramedy about an english women's soccer star who goes toe to toe with the challenges of being a woman in the game. the concept seemed to win the girls in blue over, it was an amazing opportunity and a plot they could all relate to, but questions lingered...
"so who is actually cast in the movie? or can't you tell us that?" sam kerr speaks up, asking the question that everyone in the room hoped would be asked.
she had a tendency to do that, she's natural in her leadership, she's crazy protective but more than that... she's nosy.
"margaret roberts, sophia tierney and sheva demsky."
"jesus christ," sam retorts under her breath with an eye roll, and goes back to what she was doing. the room filled with laughter and a couple of groans.
"I for one, actually love sheva demsky," millie bright chimes in with a humorous undertone, tightening her staple blonde messy bun while the laughter in the changing room grows louder.
and while the team were taken aback and actually quite starstruck that an a-list trio would be gracing their presence, ready and eager to learn about their world, they had some reservations about being put up in a hotel for four weeks with three women who epitomised first-world-problems. a lot of professional women's football players have 9-5 day jobs because they're paid a pittance for their contributions... shiva and her co-stars lived in mansions. opinions were split, many of the chelsea staff were flattered, some saw it as an insult, but one person in particular really hated the idea of being sequestered with a trio that resembled the plastics, and that was sam kerr.
