My Cold-Hearted Boss (Chanyeol Fanfic)

Chapter Nine

Hyunsoo's POV

The moment I saw this Haeun girl, I got quite interested in her. No, don't get the wrong idea. I do not like her in a romantic way. I'm just plainly interested because I've never seen Chanyeol together with someone before. More likely, a GIRL. Well, it's not like I never really saw him with someone before.. The truth is I do.

Shall we get a flashback of who that girl is?

Okay. I shall tell you then.

~Flasback~

It was when Chanyeol and I were still in middle school and we were in the same class. We sat beside each other and talk to each other daily (even though he's usually dull and bored of almost everything).

But the dullness in his voice, the boringness that was obvious in his face, the lazy-ass and inactive Chanyeol that I know, gone. All of because of a certain girl who wasn't really gifted to see anything. I never got the chance to know what her name was.

One time I asked Chanyeol about it.

"Hey, yoda. I've noticed these past days that you're getting quite active. Mind sharing?" I asked even though I know he wouldn't tell me. I don't know. He's just like that. He rarely open up.

"I won't deny and hide the fact that I'm getting quite active. I'm aware of it. And.. I liked the feeling." he replied.

"Ooh. So is there someone behind your cheerful smiles?" I asked with a matching smirk. But I never saw him did something gay before. And that is to blush. Yes, he did. He blushed and he looked away. I swear I lost my soul. I felt like my soul vanished into thin air and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"W-Wh--"

"I'm not going to tell you." he said and with that he stood up and carried his bag, leaving me all alone. I didn't have the chance to stand up. I was too coped up and I shook my head, chuckling a bit.

Months passed by and I finally get to see the girl behind his happiness. And then I knew her name.

"My name is Yoon Ji Eun. It's nice to meet you, sir..?" she asked politely. Damn she looked really beautiful. But she's blind.

"No need for formalities. I'm Seo Hyunsoo. You can call me Soo. Here, take my hand." I returned back her politeness and I gently held her hand, which I knew, made her blush. My warm skin made contact with her quite cold ones as I guided her to walk with me.

She was silent all the time and she began stuttering and all. And that continued for about one and a half months. Chanyeol already confessed to this girl, telling her than he loves her already and he was asking if he have a chance. And she rejected him. But before that, he kept on blabbering things about her. Telling me that she's very kind, understanding, gentle, motherlike, pretty, smart, etc. My ears were hurting that time and every single fucking day he talks about this girl named Jieun. Nothing else.

But when she rejected him, he didn't give up just yet. Instead, he proved himself worthy of her. And he loved her too much.

Until one time, Chanyeol helped her to see. He was the one who paid all the expenses for her to have sight. And she did. She was thankful of him. And she loved him, too. Well, that's what I thought. But I was wrong. She really only liked him as a big brother, or a friend. But never as a man. She confessed that to him. And it really hurt her. One time, I caught her approaching me with a smile. To be honest I didn't know how to react to see her walking up to me, knowing that she broke my dearest friend's heart. But I only ended up staring at her figure.

"Soo-sunbae.." she softly spoke my name. It seems like she wants something. And I was right. She confessed to me. Not being able to return her feelings, I also rejected her the way she rejected Chanyeol.

"B-But why..." she sobbed in front of me.

"Are you really that stupid? I thought you were decent. Guess I was wrong. Do you really want to make me look like a bad friend to Chanyeol? What do you think he would think when he find out that I accepted you? He would feel betrayed, you dumbass!" Yes I defended my best friend. It's the right thing to do anyway. But little did I know that Chanyeol was there when she confessed. But when I was supposed to answer back, he immediately left.

Days passed by and Chanyeol became very distant to me. To the point of avoiding me at all costs. Sometimes I catch him glaring at me. He thought that I betrayed him. All because of that girl.

~End of Flashback~

And up until now, I know that he's not moved on yet. I just know it. Though I tried explaining myself to him, he didn't listen to me. Chanyeol thought that I was lying to him. He was too disturbed. It was that Jieun's fault. And I hated that girl for ruining our friendship.

Stupid as it may seem, but I think that is why he's like this to me ever since then.

And ever since then as well, Jieun left and never came back 'til now. We never knew what happened. But I wasn't really curious. I just hope that she'll never come back again.

Third Person's POV

"Welcome to Incheon Airport, South Korea, dear passengers. Thank you for riding with us." said the female speaker and the passengers were ready to leave as soon as the plane settles.

Two certain women left the plane and are now waiting for their drivers to come and pick them up.

"Are you sure you're ready to meet him?" said the girl with brown curls.

"Of course. It's been 12 years, Klaire." replied the other black mid-length hair.

"If that's what you want. Well, are you going to apologize?" asked the girl named Klaire.

"Yes. It was my fault after all."

"You should. Oh well, I expect him to avoid you again.. or maybe not. This is your decision, Jieun. I am only supporting you."

"Thank you, Klaire. Thanks a lot." replied the girl named Jieun and they continued waiting for their drivers to come.

"We shall meet again, Park Chanyeol."
