And let me tell you, my dear readers, let me tell you why. LET ME TELL YOU WHY! LET ME TELL YOU WHY SHE SUCKS! THE MOMENT I SEE THE WORD "READER" IN FAN FICTION, I JUST THROW MY TABLET 100000000 MILES AWAY INTO SPACE.
You know how Y/N was invented for the reader to insert themselves into the story? Well, HAHA, guess what? Wattpad saw Y/N and thought, hey, let's make them into a completely different person! They gave Y/N their own looks, a gender(usually female), and worst of all, FETISHIZED THEM. Now, you're probably wondering what I'm talking about; I've seen several highly inappropriate Y/N fics. I'm pretty sure your readers won't be very thrilled to (censored), in fact, there's 13-year-olds using Wattpad, remember? Though people at the age of 13 probably know about the birds and the bees, it's still very uncomfortable for some.
Anyway, another thing.
In some stories, Y/N is a gosh darn MARY SUE. Mary Sues are annoying. Though they're good as a person, they're terrible as characters.
Anyway, here's basically how a romance fandom Y/N story goes.

Hi, I'm y/n. I was invented for the reader to insert themselves in the novel, and I was supposed to be non-binary, and I was supposed to use 2nd person. However, people have transformed me into my own person. Sometimes I'm good. Sometimes, I'm a very bad person. And occasionally, I'm an abhorrent character. Wattpad users ship me with other characters, such as Jeff the Killer, Bakugo, Muzan, etc. Even though the people of Wattpad aren't supposed to give me my own looks, they still do it. I'm beautiful and perfect in every way. I'm petite and feisty, but I'm still the bottom of every romance. I suck.

Anyway, I had enough of ranting about this topic for today. This might be TOO stereotypical, but who cares? This is me, the idiot I'm talking about.
Faith out.
