The man just wouldn't let her go! She punched, she kicked, she fisted! She tried everything! However, her lungs burned, her head ached badly, and all of her limbs felt like they were about to fall off! Being handcuffed didn't help either! She was no match for the armed muscle man. They struggled with the weapon, flailing it in the air, while she pulled his hand up, away from the innocent passengers. Only two were still alive, but they were worth it to her. She couldn't give up. After all, she was their last hope!

The vehicle continued to zig zag through the empty country road. She tried to get a glimpse outside, but the intense window tints made everything look dark. It was almost impossible to see anything outside. She could only make out big long thin trunks...pine trees, maybe? She wasn't sure.
Her attention was focused more on the driver, who had already fired a couple of times. One of those strays caught his partner right in the chest, making his heart stop immediately. Dead. The corpse fell back on the passenger's seat, while the occupants in the back screamed in fear. The big red-haired driver tried to take control of the situation, while still keeping a tight grip on the steering wheel.
The metal of the handcuffs was carving away at her skin, leaving intense pain and scarring. In order to be free, she knew eventually she had to try to wiggle her way out, even if it meant breaking a finger or two. Blood trickled down her arms as the metal continued to grip her wrists, tighter and tighter. She could feel the deep incisions and the pain shooting up to her brain. But... she had to try! She had to fight! Adrenaline gave her just enough momentum to stay in it!

The man threw a left hook, which landed firmly on the side of her face.
CRACKKKK
Uh oh! She thought as she heard (and felt) a crack around her cheekbone. That can't be good! Her head went backward, after the man's blow pushed her back violently. She fell hard on the front edge of the back seat, feeling her neck jolt forward with the impact. She felt her brain turn into scrambled eggs in a pan!
"Sit your ass down, b*tch!" The man yelled angrily as he tried to get a better grip of the weapon.
He was able to stir the vehicle back on track while talking rapid breaths. He was sweating profusely, and his glare was all over the place, while the car flew by, just like a race car on its last lap.SCCCRRRRRRR
The car came to a violent stop, as the man pulled the brakes violently, and opened the glove compartment. He stopped for a second and took a quick look at his dead partner, then let go a frustrated sigh.
If I don't do something... she remembered thinking, full of fear!
She groaned painfully, as now she felt her entire body ache. It was very tough to move her jaw now and her left eye was flooded with blood. She could feel the open wound in that part of her face! Her eye was beginning to swell, as she tried to locate the angry driver.
The man took out several rounds of bullets and charged his weapon. There was nothing she could do. She could hardly move!
SLAM
The man opened the door violently, then stepped out. Since she couldn't see outside, she could only hope he'd decided to run and leave them alone. But...no!
