Nausithous grew up with knowledge of the world , his mother whispers in his ears as he toed on the edge of the wooden planks
He would see her after long days at sea with his father , who told him of the world and the sea
How they lived on the wooden boards of the ship which only reminded him of the wooden boards that were crooked at his mothers shack
Naus grew up knowing , he grew up skilled and equipped for the world
But he never knew of land , not true land
Where people had laws and stood with tall with guns attatched to their hips
Where lady's wore layered dresses that held in their waists and pushed up their busts
Naus knew differently
And his knowledge only seemed to grow as he outlived others
He didn't need to wonder why he was forever ageing and his mother didn't seem to age a day over his entire life
His father told him he was part of the sea , he owned it and breathed as it was his and he was the sea
Naus didn't know what he truly meant until he begun to control the waves as they banged against the ship
He was the sea
And the sea was him
He understood then , that he was the child of the sea goddess , calypso
This was why he didn't age , found to immortality and had the power over the sea and the things that are bound to it
Over two centuries old and he still only had one thing he didn't know of ...
