The search for a parking spot felt like forever as almost every spot was token. Mother finally found a spot and parked the car. I Unbuckled my seat belt and exited the car.
I stepped out and looked up at my new high school. The wind moved my hair out of my face as I walked around the back of the car and waited for Mother to get my sister out of the car. We finally made our way to the front of the school after walking for what seemed like an hour.
'Just by how large the parking lot is, this is the type of school that is rich but still charges 10 dollars to get into a dance,' I thought to myself as we enter into the front office. It was mostly empty except for two students and staff. "Welcome, how can I help?" A Lady Says, sitting at a laptop with a smile on her face. Mother walks in front of the lady and smiles back. "I'm here to register my daughter into this school." Mother says, looking through her purse.
"Alright, what's Her name?" The lady asks, typing on her laptop. One of the students, a boy with a hoodie, looks up slightly at me, Mother and my sister. "Hey, come here." The boy whispers to me, keeping his head low. I look back at him and take a few steps, standing in front of him.
"I'm Finn. Are you new around here?" He asks, revealing his face. I nod yes as Mother still speaks with the lady. "What grade?" He questions me, glancing at mother, then back at me. "Sophomore.." I answer him, tucking my hands in my pockets. "Me to, whats your name?" He asks, his brown eyes being revealed. "Bailey." I didn't like to give my name to people I didn't know, but he seems to be like me.
"Alright, Bailey, let's go!" Mother exclaims, holding a piece of paper, possibly my schedule. I look back at Mother and back at him. "See you around!" I say, following Mother out of the office. I noticed an older looking woman and realized that it was our neighbor who came over yesterday. She doesn't say a word but smiles at Mother and me.
I find it kinda odd that she's here, unless she works as a teacher or is picking up her kid. We exit the building and make our way to the car. I walk around and open the door. I get in and close the door. Mother gets Sammy in the car and gets in herself. "So the women said that you can start tomorrow, let's go to Target and get your supplies that you need!" She exclaims, Holding the paper, which I assume is my schedule, and starts to back out.
I knew the only reason Mother wanted to go to Target was to look at the fall decorations and things for the house.
After driving for fifteen minutes, we made it to target. Mother took her time to find a parking spot, and finally, after forever, she found a spot. I Unbuckled my seatbelt and got out. The crisp, cold air felt good while leaves blew through the parking lot. "Alright guys, let's go!" Mother exclaims, walking with Sammy towards the store.
I groaned as I followed behind, putting on my headphones and blasting my music. Without my music, I'd go insane listening to the trash music that plays inside most stores. We made it to the entrance and went inside. The smell of coffee and popcorn slapped me across the face as soon as we entered.
"Alright Bailey, I'll be shopping for decorations, you go buy things for school!" Mother exclaimed, grabbing a cart and putting Sammy in the cart. I watched her walk off as I grabbed a small basket for myself and made my way to the supplies.
After two minutes, I made it to the art supplies. A girl with dark blue and black colored hair was looking among the colored pencils as I looked among the suppliers as well. I really didn't care about what brand I grabbed Crayola products and went into the next Isle.
The Isle was empty, and I was happy about that. Hopefully, I'm not going to have to socialize with anyone besides Mother or Sammy. It was a week day and school, so I didn't expect anyone to be here. After a while of looking among the options, it was time to pick a backpack.
I was really looking for a black backpack that I could decorate with pins later today. As expected, the options were trash, but I did end up finding what I was looking for, a basic black backpack.
I grabbed it and decided to go look for Mother and Sammy. I walked towards the Halloween section of the store, and as I thought, Mother was there with Sammy. The cart was filled with skeletons and spiders and spider webs.
She hums to the music as she turns over to look at me. "Oh, hey Bailey, I was looking at the costumes for Sammy and decorations for the house!" She exclaimed, holding a bag of fake spider webs. "But most of the boxes haven't even been unpacked yet..." I muttered, walking off to the cash registers to wait for Mother.
After another 30 minutes, she comes around a corner. "Alright, time to pay." She said, her cart full with Halloween decorations and some groceries. I sigh with relief and pick up the basket, following Mother to a cash register. I helped Mother put the decorations on the ramp and waited until she was done to put my items up.
After a while, we had finally left and were back home. "Bailey, don't forget to help your sister out of her car seat." She called to me as I unlocked the door and sighed. I troted down the stairs and to the car. I opened Sammy's door and helped Sammy out of her seat. A car drove down the road and pulled into the neighbors driveway.
Not wanting to socialize anymore until tomorrow, I rushed up the stairs and into the house. I had never been the type of person who liked to socialize with people, including my own family. I walked to the living room and sat on the couch. I got on my phone and saw that I had gotten an e-mail, so I opened it and checked it.
It was a message from the school. "Also, I got your schedule here." Mother said, tossing the papers next to me. I grabbed one of the papers and looked at it. It was my schedule. The paper reads.

I could tell it would be a long day just based on the schedule, but I was happy I got gardening since I loved it. I grabbed my papers and went up to my room for a while.
After a few hours, it was time for me to get ready for bed. I had eaten dinner an hour ago, so all I needed to do was get ready for bed. I went to my bathroom that was connected to my bedroom and grabbed my toothbrush, and put a small dollop of toothpaste on the brush. I already had my clothes out for tomorrow, so I wouldn't scramble around looking for an outfit.
After a few minutes of brushing my teeth and doing my skin care, I was ready for bed. I turned off my light to my bathroom and bedroom and climbed into bed. The time was 11:57 PM, and I needed to get up in a few hours, so I dazed off to sleep without another thought.
