Dream Furies

Dream Furies are among the rarest and secretive type of Fury. They are recognised by their colours- dark blue to red- and their subtle starry, night sky patterns that appear on their wings and ears (and less often, on their stomachs) when night falls to help them blend in with the sky. Their wings almost appear to be made out of a liquid, ebbing and flowing in uncanny ways, like ink.
These Furies have existed since the city was built. They have the job of hunting down nightmares to stop them harming dragons in their sleep, usually letting the smaller nightmares through and keeping more focused on the larger- more dangerous- nightmares. They do this hunting at night, while everyone is asleep, as to not be seen. These Furies have a deep connection with other realms and worlds such as the Astral plane, the Ether, and the dreamscape (just to name a few).
These dragons have always only been known to exist by the Alpha and no one else, due to how powerful these dragons can be. Any dragon meant to do harm, manipulating the Dream Furies to do their bidding, can become a dangerous foe to the city.
