So I picked him up baby style. (You know the way people carry toddlers). I tried to be as gentle as possible so as to not wake him up accidently. I rested his head on my shoulder and wrapped his legs across my waist.
Then I went to the kitchen and started making some pancakes.

I looked up at him.
