Chapter 6



Sapphire's POV



Maybe I should have acted different. I should have pressed and find out more, or more likely I should have just followed them and find out what kind of idiot wanted me. No, that would have been a stupid idea, walking into the enemy's trap without plan. 

Hey! I always have a plan. Not this time. I mentally argued to myself. Plus we really had to accomplish this mission. Getting this artifact was very important for the team. Specially for me. 
As I stayed at the waiting area after checking in, I still felt like someone was following every step of the way. I think I am getting paranoid. But the thing is my instincts never tend to fail me. So pretty much I had a good reason to be paranoid. 


"I am mad" Adam stated as he sat next to me, still very agitated if I might add. 


"I can see that" My sarcastic tone wasn't unnoticed by him, and I got a glare in return.


"Seriously Sapi, we been friends for a long time already, I know when you are right and when wrong, right now you are making a mistake not telling Luce anything"


"If we tell him, he might get distracted, or worse we don't know what he might do, so lets not think about this at this moment, lets leave it alone for now and we will deal as soon as we reunite with the team"


"You know, this was a bad idea"


"What? exactly?"


"This mission, me and you alone, everyone was against it even me, but of course being so stubborn you had to do what you wanted to do"


"Are you scared big boy?"


"NO!" He practically screamed at me but that little pause before he answered gave me all I wanted
.

"Don't be a pussy, You know I wont let you die out there. Or if something happens we die together, its no fun being alone" 

He sat dramatically on the chair, I was waiting for some crazy comeback from him but nothing he was just rolling or more like trolling his eyes at me and singeing.

 
"Being friends with you is a tuff job"


"But I hope we stay friends until we die" I gave him my poppy eyes trying to make my face as cute as possible when in reality I am sure it looked horrible


Nothing 

He'd basically play the 'Ignore' game when he is mad.


"You know then we can stay ghost friends when we die, and we can like walk through walls and scare the shit out people...no?"


Nothing 

Jerk is playing on my nerves
I turned 180 degrees facing him, touched his shoulders forcefully and started shaking him
.

"Who are you? what did you do to my Adam?" 


Nothing


"You know I can keep doing this all day, before we leave, even on the plane, after we land. Stop being annoying and act like a grown up, oh and don't forget to come back with your sarcastic trow backs."


Nothing

"Ok, seriously, start talking to me or I will key your precious baby" This got some action from him and his eyes widened. 


"Glad I got some attention from you, so are you ready to talk to me?" 


"My baby is off limits, touch one finger on her and I will bat your baby"


"Do that and I will smash your car, and then I will push it off a cliff and trust me I know lots of cliffs..."


"I will tell the whole world your secrets you so desperately want to keep it in a closet"


"Do that and I will tell Lucas how you saw him butt naked" 


"You will NOT!"


"Yes I will, Quit being such a baby and of course your secret's safe with me" I crossed my fingers pointed at my lips then to my heart.


"I will stop being annoying which I am sure I am not, when you stop being so ignorant. You don't get it that I care about you don't you? I love you like my own sister, but I hate when you make decisions based on your feelings, You act with your heart not with your brain right now and you need that high IQ of yours to realize how dangerous this things are, specially when we are not able to use our abilities..." He practically whispered the last part and kept going ..."Anything else happens, even if we are in the plane or not I am contacting Lucas, thats the end of it"


"Fine we have a deal" 

"Oh and we need a good strategy plan for the Rome, I will think of some things during the flight"


"Hmm, I actually do have a plan"


"You do? Great, start talking then" By this time we were already inside the plane getting to our sits, as soon as I sat on my business class comfy recliner I wanted nothing but a sleep.


"I will tell you when we get to the hotel, we don't know whose listening here" Or maybe I just don't want to tell you because you are so not going to like it. I wanted to tell him that but he was already mad so there was no point making him angrier. 

 "Alright, then lets get some rest we have a big day ahead of us"


"Stop talking like you just dropped from 18th century"


"Whatever...You might not even know this but..." I couldn't hear the rest because I was already starting to doze off into my one and only dreamland.
