Curtains fluttered gently with the breeze that streamed in through the open windows.
Sprawled upon the king-sized bed, only just now beginning to stir with life, were the happily exhausted figures of Drac and Ericka, their naked bodies entwined with one another's underneath the sheets. The woman woke up first, blinking her eyes drowsily and turning her head, meeting the equally tired gaze of her husband. Despite the pleasant aches in his body, he made the effort to lean forward, kissing her sweetly. "Good morning, honeybat."
Ericka smiled, giving him a playful peck on the nose. "Good morning. Sleep well?"
"Absolutely," he said, a hand stroking her cheek and playing with a wisp of her hair. "And you?"
"Not bad," she said. "It's nice to wake up without having to worry that the bed could be broken."
The pair laughed at that, knowing how carried away Drac could get in his romantic activities, the vampiric strength bringing their old bed from the hotel to its limits and nearly breaking its springs. She kissed him again, this time on the lips, tilting her head and deepening the connection. "Want to know something I found out?" she whispered to him against his lips.
"What?"
She bestowed another peck to the lips before continuing. "Human, monster, unicorn, you don't disappoint."
Drac blushed as she winked at him. He was ever-grateful for how non-judgmental Ericka had been in his whole time as a human thus far. His body was far from ideal, likely making any other woman grimace if they looked too long. But Ericka was not any other woman. She was his zing, his soulmate, the love of his life. Unable to help himself, he grabbed her face and peppered a dozen or more kisses onto it, making her shriek with laughter.
"All right, Drac! That's enough!" she said, catching her breath. "Come on, we should really get going if you wanna get the old Drac back!
Drac's eyes lit up. "Yes, of course! There's no time to waste!" He instantly flung the sheets off himself and went for the door, Ericka sitting up in the bed.
"Drac!" she called.
His hand on the handle, he paused. "Yes, sweetheart?"
Ericka crossed her arms. "Aren't you forgetting something, you know, important?" Her eyes flickered from his face down to his body... which was still bare.
Drac felt embarrassment flood through him. "Ahhh, right. Clothes."
Ericka snickered, getting up from the bed herself and tossing him a shirt from the drawer. "Save the birthday suit for the bedroom, 'kay?"
He nodded quickly, buttoning up his shirt as Ericka too pulled on some attire and touched up her makeup.
A big day was here. And in just a few short hours, Drac would regain the form that was rightfully his.

Since the Blood Moon was to be visible all over the state of Hawaii, Drac had not known where exactly the bite was to be administered, and quite frankly, didn't believe that it truly mattered. Which is why it took the man somewhat off guard when he'd found himself blindfolded by his wife and given the simple order to follow.
Relying solely on his other senses, he attempted to figure out where it was that they were going. The ground he walked upon was not firm, each step he took sinking in slightly and producing a slight crunching sound to it. His nose was met with the salty sea air, sharp and recognizable even before they reached their final destination.
"Keep your eyes closed," Ericka whispered into his ear as he felt her remove the cloth from his eyes. Excitable murmuring was starting up from the other presences around him, muted behind Ericka's cheery "Okay, open up!" that next moment.
