Chapter 2: father's approval

A few months had past, me and Draco had become best friends, Mattheo's still my boyfriend and me and harry have started to grow apart, whenever I cross him in the hallway I'll wave to him and he'll just blank me, even Ron and Hermione don't talk to me anymore! Me and Mattheo have been okay, I still smell someone else's perfume on him every night but we're... fine...

Me and Draco have become inseparable, we have all the same classes, we eat lunch together, we even spend most our our free time together! Some people have actually thought that Draco is my boyfriend, we just laugh when they say that, but I kind of wish it was true...

One night in Mattheo's dorm, I was sat on Mattheo's bed waiting for him, he'd said he wanted talk to me privately
Mattheo opened the door, saw me sat on the bed and locked the door behind him

"I see Pansy gave you my message" he said

"Yeah she did-" I looked at his neck

"Who've you been fucking this time?"

Mattheo laughed "What are you talking about?"

He realised I was looking at his neck "babe, they're just bruises"

I stood up and pushed him "Don't act like you don't know!" I crossed my arms "You come in the room with hickeys on your neck Riddle!"

"Well maybe you should be loyal to me!"

"What the fuck do you mean? I am loyal to you!"

"Oh really? Well what do you and Draco do all that time when you're in the common room?!"

"We talk Mattheo! We talk!"

Mattheo kicked the side of his bed and hit me, I see blood drip from my nose
Mattheo grabbed my face "If you tell anyone about tonight, I'll give you a lot more than a bruise!"

He threw me on the bed, unlocked the door and slammed it behind him as he left

The next morning I go downstairs to meet Draco in the common room

"Hey Y/n!" Draco said, sunk into the settee

"Hi Draco" I said sitting down next to him

Draco began to say something until he saw the bruise on my face

"Who did that to you" he moved my hair out of my face and his expression changed

Mattheo came down the stairs and slowed down when he Draco's hand on my face

I looked at him and quickly looked away when Draco looked at him

"Was it Mattheo?" He asked

I didn't know what to say, but I didn't need to say anything for Draco to know it was Mattheo

He shot out of his seat and chased Mattheo down the hall

"Riddle!" He shouted "Riddle don't fucking ignore me!"

Mattheo turned around "what is it Dra-"

He'd barely finished his sentence when Draco punched him in the face

"Never, touch Y/n again!" He said kicking him, making sure his face was bleeding entirely

I run out of the common room to Mattheo and Draco

"Dray!" I grab his arm and beg him to stop

He finally stops kicking him and grabs him by his shirt "If you ever hurt her again, it won't just be your face that bleeds" he's about to punch him one more time when Snape comes running down the hall

"What's going on here Mr Malfoy?!" He looks at me and looks at Mattheo "Y/n? I thought Mr Riddle was your boyfriend"

I look at Mattheo and thought about the amount of scars and bruises he's given me

"No dad," I answered

Snape grabbed the boys by their collars and dragged them to Dumbledore's office, I followed

"Sir, young Mr Malfoy was beating Riddle in the corridor!"

Dumbledore stood up from his seat and walked to Mattheo

"And what is the reason for this?"

Snape sighed, "No reason given sir"

"Well I doubt Mr Riddle was beaten up this badly for no reason"

He turned to me

"Could Miss Y/n Provide us any information?"

I look down "No sir..."

Snape looks at me "Could I acquire as to why you have a bruise on your face?"

I looked at Mattheo and Snape looked at him

He ragged his head back by his hair "you dare hurt my daughter Riddle?"

Dumbledore raised his hand and Snape stopped

"Mr Malfoy," he said, Draco looked up "I still need a reason"

Draco pulled himself out of Snape's grasp and gave Mattheo a dirty look

"He hurt Y/n," he said standing up straight "No one hurts Y/n and gets away with it"

Snape left the boys in Dumbledore's office and walked me out

"So Draco Malfoy beat your ex up because he hurt you?"

"Yes dad"

He laughs a little

"I like him," he says putting his hand on my shoulder "I think he's the right one for you"

"Really?"

"Ofc! If he's willing to get himself hurt for you, he has father's approval"

We laughed together, I was one of the only people to see him smile, it felt weird to not see him smile actually

The next day I woke up, same as usual, go down to the common room and see Draco waiting for me

"Dray!" I jumped on the couch and hugged him tightly

"Y/n!" He hugs me back, but not as tight as I hugged him, he laughed "Baby, I need to breathe!"

I stopped hugging him, I was sat on his lap

"Did you call me baby?" I said smiling slightly

He blushed

"S- sorry!" He said blushing even more, making his blonde hair stand out even more

Daphne came into the common room
"Woah!" She covered her eyes "Didn't mean to interrupt!"

She quickly ran out of the dorm, we realized how bad it looked we quickly stood up

Draco rubbed his neck awkwardly and we both got our stuff and head off to class
