Toni's POV
•••"Stacey, where is my coffee!" I yelled as we walked into school.
"Sorry, Toni, here you go."
She said as she struggled to give it to me."And mines," Janet said, coming behind me.
"Mines too," Jada said also.
"Here you both go, and Halle, are you sure you didn't want anything?"
"Yea, I'm fine." She said, smiling.
I looped my arm around Janet's arm as we walked into school. Bryan's waiting for me at my locker. He said he had a surprise waiting for me.
"Hi, baby!" I yelled, running over to him, pecking his lips.
"Where's my surprise," I said, looking around. Bryan chuckled.
"Close your eyes and turn around." I did as he said, and I felt him put something around my neck. I look down to see a necklace that says baby on it, which is his nickname.
"I love it! Thanks, baby." I said, kissing his lips. "You're welcome."
The bell rang, indicating that class was about to start."Stacey! Where are my books!"
"I'm sorry, Toni but, I can't figure out your locker-"
"I sent it to you with the Instructions this morning. Please hurry up and get my stuff. You're going to make me late for class!" She quickly nodded as Bryan and I walked to my class.
"I will see you later, baby, and stop being mean to people." He said, making me chuckle. He kissed my lips one last time and left.
______________________"Good afternoon Miss. Hanon, for lunch today, we made you a Greek salad just the way you like it."
"Thanks, Charlotte, it looks delicious as always."
"And for dessert, your favorite strawberry cheesecake."
"Thank you, guys this all looks delicious. You may go." I said, shooing them out.
"Jan, where's Jermaine?" Will asked.
"We got into a big fight, and he's somewhere doing whatever he wants." She said as she played over her food.
"Babe, we been told you to dump his little ass," Jada said, making us all laugh.
"So for my party, I want you to wear a pink button-down and-"
"Baby, I love you and all but, I'm not wearing pink." I started pouting.
"Ok, I will think about it." He said, kissing my pouty lip.
I heard Ted yelling my new bodyguard that daddy hired for me since the whole kidnapping incident. At the top of the stairs yelling at someone. Stacey went over to see who Ted was talking to and it was Jermaine with some hoe. He got a lot of nerve trying to come upstairs with all the popular people. I look over at Janet, who is fuming with anger. I marched over to hear what he had to say.
"Yes?" I said, giving them a fake smile.
"Hey Tone, me and my girl were wondering if we could have lunch in here with you guys away from the crowd." He said, trying to get past me. But I blocked their way.
"Umm...yeah...no."
"But tone, it's me. We've been friends since 6th grade."
"Yeah...still no."
"Come on, is it because Janet and I broke up." I gasped, acting shocked, making everyone laugh.
"Come on, tone...please." He said, now begging.
"Babe, hurry up your cheesecake just came out," Bryan said, coming up behind me.
"Y'all have cheesecake in there." The hoe said, trying to look inside.
"Yeah, you just missed the main course of steak and potatoes, but you didn't get an invite, so sorry," I said as I was about to walk off but, Jermaine grabbed me tightly, alarming Ted and Bryan. Ted quickly grabbed Jermaines hand off of me and held him back. While Bryan held me close.
"Tone, you're making a mistake." He said through his teeth.
"Are you threatening my girl?" Bryan said, coming up closer to him. "Baby, I got this. Could you wait for me? I said, kissing his cheek. He nodded his head and left, still eyeing Jermaine. I noticed that he was looking at Janet. I saw when they both made eye contact so, I blocked his view from looking at her.
"Listen up, troll, you broke my best friend's heart, so that makes you a nobody to me, and if you come anywhere near her, it's on you. Now that's a promise, not a threat."
"Ted, We don't let trolls or hoes in here. Please escort them to a regular table."
"Toni! Your not making this fair!" He yelled, while stumbling down the stairs. Making Ted snatch him up more.
"Sorry, Not my fault. Life isn't fair!" I said, flicking him off.
I came back into the room and sat next to Janet. I wiped her tears and hugged her tightly.
"Thanks, Toni." She said, kissing my cheek. I whispered no problem in her ear.
Short but please tell me what y'all think?
