The Medic ~ Steve McGarrett

  The rain  buzzed past my head. I walked behind Steve and Bradley. "Tori let's go move quicker" Steve said over coms I mumbled under my breath "What was that?" Bradley asked I looked up at him I could just tell this man had a smirk under his mask by the way his one eye creased I shoved him a bit he chuckled. "Shut up." I smiled walking up a bit to get in the middle of them. Clay and Wade walked beside us a few feet away we keep it pretty far out but close enough so I could get to them if they need me. "I always wondered how a woman became a navy seal medic" I smirked proudly to my self walking along the men.

"I'm just badass is why." Steve came to a halt I accidentally walked into him falling on my ass. "A warning would of been nice" I mumbled under my breath looking up at him. He was smirking a bit looking around the forest. I rolled my eyes standing up "what's going on over there" Clay said on the com's when Steve was quiet and didn't answer the com's we knew we were very close. I looked over at Bradley he was loading and gearing up "Gear up boy's" I said over com's I walked over next to Bradley grabbing out my med bag attaching it to the outside of my backpack.

Before I could even speak I flew backwards landing on the hard ground I coughed out for air groaning loudly ringing was going off in my ears screaming and loud gun fire was going off around me Steve came into my view dragging me towards him and Bradley. Soon the ringing stopped the pain grew more and more tighter. "Son of a bitch that hurt" I groaned opening my jacket looking at the new hole in my brand new vest. "This was a new vest too" Steve dropped down next to me giving me a dirty look.

"I'll buy you a new one now are you okay? We need help." I shook my head no I groaned holding my side softly. Steve gave me a concerned look he crouched down right next to me. He softly reached down and touched my hand he moved away his entire hand was covered in blood his face shifted to scared right away. Everything was slowly fading to black my body was slowly falling side ways "No no stay with me" he gabbed my face softly that was the last thing I heard and saw.

  ~Hour's Later~
I groaned opening my eyes blinking a bit I felt someone grab my hand. There was a loud roar I looked over to see we were in the air I looked at who the hand belonged to it was Steve Bradley came into my view he placed a headset on my head. "Hey there Doll." Steve's face came into view with a soft smile. He had cuts down his face he was all sweaty and dirty. "Hang in there for me okay? We're almost home." He smiled at me softly I closed my eyes as he talked to me I didn't reply he just keep talking. He would tap my forehead every now and then to make sure I was still with him. I'll never forget every time I opened my eyes his smile was the first thing I always saw.

~Twenty minutes later~
The heart monitors went off I slowly opened my eyes once again. I turned my head looking around to see Steve asleep in the chair next to my bed with my brother in his arms. I smiled softly I looked over to see my father nose deep in the news paper I looked around for my mother but she wasn't here. "I was wondering if I could have the comic section when your done there old man" the news paper moved quickly I slowly looked over at him opening my eyes a little and smiled at him.

He tossed it down on the other chair next to him standing up he made his way over to me quickly "Hey there princess how you feeling?" He asked grabbing my hand softly "Oh you know I could have better days" he chuckled a bit his free hand tucked some hair behind my ear. "Where's mom?" I asked he pulled his arm back checking his watch. "She should be back shortly she went to get us some breakfast. You know how your brother is with hospital food" I smiled looking back over  Steve and Zack.

"What's he doing here any ways? Shouldn't he be back at camp?" I asked my father I looked over at him he shook his head. "Nope he demanded to stay on the island till you got better." I sat there for a moment processing what he said the door opened I looked over to see my mother walking in. "Okayy let's see I got three muffins and a bagel for Tori when ever she wakes up and three coffees" she looked up once her eyes landed on me she smiled rushing to set everything down. Once she could she ran over pushing my father out the way leaning down hugging me

"Ohhh my baby girl. When Steve called us my heart shattered when he c- Rose dear stop that don't be going and spilling all the boys secrets." My father spoke up she rolled her eyes shaking her head "Anyways how are you feeling buttercup? Did your father page the nurse yet?" She asked turning and looking at him he held his hand's up. "So sorry that my first reaction was to see my princess and not run like a maniac to get the nurses attention." He mumbled walking out of the room she rolled her eyes yet again.

"Oh let's wake Steve up he's been here for hours now." She rushed over to him "no mom let him sleep it's alright" she completely ignored me and shook Steve softly "Come on wake up there's someone that wants to speak to you. Come on Zack." She tapped him he crawled out of Steve's lap yawning "Who is it?" He asked stretching and rubbing his eyes "Well why don't you find out?" I spoke a little his head shot up at me he smiled softly at me "Hey you." I said smiling at him softly I could barely think of any pet names like doll. He stood up walking over to the side of the bed leaning down pulling me into a hug.

"Alright Rose the nurse will be in sho- Hey come on let's step out and give them time" my father said as I nuzzled into Steve "What why?" She spoked up my father sighed deeply "Give the man a minute to hold his girl."
