Lapis POV.
I looked down at the roaring ocean below. I thought about how I had been in this very place not so long ago with her. Peridot had talked me out of so many things. All I wanted was for her to love me the way I loved her. I thought about her hand in mine. It was warm. Her fingers intertwined with my fingers. I stared into her piercing green eyes wanting to tell her exactly how I felt but I had no words. She stared at me for a few moments and without warning, kissed me. The feel of her lips on mime was perfection. I felt weightless as though I was floating and her hand entangled with my own was the only thing keeping me tied to earth. (Now its present not memories). I reached up and touched my lips. Sometimes it felt like she was still there. I clinched my fists. "But she isn't. And I can't keep this up anymore!" She was all I had to live for. I could only imagine what she must have been thinking as she took that fatal leap. How badly I must have failed her. How I must have just as insignificant to her as I was to everybody else. I looked up at the sky. Those damn rain clouds she hated so much. I shouted a curs to those clouds. They had failed me. They were the only thing I could ever rely on. But they failed me.
I walked to the very edge of the cliff. This is...."where she stood..." "Peridot" I mumbled the word at first. Then I shouted it as though it was the only thing I had ever known. Once more I looked up at the gray sky. It started to rain. "What are you crying for huh?! Nothing bad hapenes to you! You failed me remember!?" I was crying now too. My tears mixed with the rain as each drop splattered against my face. A cool breeze blew through my hair. I looked down at the tide crashing against the rocks. "Peridot" I mumbled again.
